  • If Apple Does Correct, It Will Do So Soon [View article]
Apple will struggle this quarter due to lower sale. AAPL will probably top out at 100 due to uncertainty about Steve's health as well.

  • Risks Remain, But iPhone's Fundamentals Should Help Apple Surpass Expectations - RBC Analyst [View article]
Companies that make a lot of cash even in weaker market - AAPL, INTC, MSFT, PFE, SBUX, MCD, .... so you don't really lose any money if you hold those stocks. When the market begins to turn, you can't buy them cheap anymore.

  • Is Apple More Undervalued Than Other Tech Sector Stocks? [View article]
Anon, when you apply for a credit card, the bank bases on your pass history and future (current job) income. Apply history is perfect; Apple future is better than anyone else, with a lot of cash on hand. Apple sells at least 15M-20M 3G iPhones each year from now, and you can see defer revenue will be up to the mountain in 3 years.

Whenever an analyst upgrades or downgrades a stock, he/she at least should spend this kind of effort to analyze the stock. I bet you those analysts that downgraded Apple a while ago did have intention - he/she got paid to help others to cover their short position. An investigation is needed.
And that's why I think Apple shoud do bargain buyback to eliminate this kind of market manipulation. Steve may be thinking about some buyback seriously.

  • Share Buybacks Make Apple Sweeter [View article]
I think Apple should do bargain buyback to stabilize the share (e.g. it doesn't have to buyback to increase the P/E number since we all know Apple is an excellent company). And It doesn't have to buyback aggressively, but just buys on the dips. Doing that eliminates market manipulation.

  • iPod Sales Only 14.2% of Apple's Q4 Total Revenue [View article]
Apple achieves more balance earning sources, although 3G iPhones are just incredibly sucessful. Someday, iTunes (selling/renting games/apps/movies) can be a big part of revenue too.

Coming Apple mini could be a big hit because teens/college students really love to use both Mac and Vista OS's, and Mac hardward makes this possible. In fact, I'll buy a Mac mini for my living room when it comes out.

  • Apple Takes a Bite of Research In Motion [View article]
crazylegs, I meant the $35B number is for Q1 of *2010* (next year). Sorry. My prediction is that 4 years from now, Apple will have about $70B cash.

  • Apple Takes a Bite of Research In Motion [View article]
By Q1 2009, the cash ($35B) + the deferred revenue ($15B) is more than half of Apple market cap (assuming Apple sells conservatively 6M 3G iPhones each quarter). So, if Apple can build up both the cash and the deferred revenue at this rate without tapping into their existing cash (for spending), eventually all deferred revenue becomes cash. So we look at $70B cash and still around $15B of defered revenue by 2012, which is about Apple's market cap right now.

I heard from someone before that Microsoft invested some of their cash in Apple shares. That says something.

  • How Will the Market React to Apple's New Macbooks? [View article]
    Bad analysis!
New 3G iPhones, new iPod Touchs, New notebooks, iTunes are full of music/games/apps/shows... PCs, network drives, accessories, .... Apple is at the strongest point in its history. Loss in US demand is much less than market expansion (to 70 countries). Stock price is at 50% off.
Author needs to learn the fundamental.

The most stupid sentense is "Rumors of other changes remain all over."
