  • Why Does VMware Have a Target on Its Back? [View article]
    I've used the consumer grade version of VMware's productes, what was GSX, and been very happy. However, I sort of view the VM's out there as fungible. Whatever VM is fastest, cheapest, supports the hardware and software I need, etc. At one point, Sun Virtualbox beat VMware in the race to support USB v2, for free that is. And my company prefers MS HyperV, not because its better, but rather because we have enterprise licensing for Microsoft, and so we can use HyperV without buying any additional licensing.

    All that said, VMware appliances rock !
