The author should disclose that he is a left-leaning Democrat and hates Republicans. He should check Shumer's, Dodd's and Obama's protection of Freddie and Fannie when McCain tried to rein them in over 3 years ago. Shameful.

Finally, a guy that does not end his article with a recommendation to buy while the market is down. Few realize that what is happening is not the peaks, valleys or "adjustments" in the markets. This is a seachange and it is global and it is serious. It is probably the end of our comfortable life as only we Americans know it. We have lived through the best of times and will now see the worst of times. I am selling all my stocks, keeping my precious metals and own physical assets that I hope will see my family through this crisis.
