Consumer Spending Outlook Is 'Grim'

Re economic downturn,

Today . I went grocery shopping , I hadn't been in a loong time , as a friend did it for me .I was amazed re 2 things , 4 small plastic bags of groceries , with 2 small packs of chiken on sale was $ 46 ! The Biggest thing I noticed , NO ONE had 1/2 full grocery cart or even 1/4 full ! NO ONE , even families ! This was a very middle -to upper middle class store . IF the economy is 66.66 % dependent on the consumer , Guess what ? It ain't happening , not even for esentials . One lady I spoke to today at a utility firm said " she keeps her heat on 65 " She is employed ! What are the retirees supposed to do ?

Yes , you are correct , but Russia , along with Brazil , are tanking , along with China + Europe . This will be a global Depression .It will be most severe in The US + Europe .
