It is getting more difficult to do business in the U.S. and more stimulus won't solve the problem, says Niall Ferguson, who's about to release a new book, "The Great Degeneration: How Institutions Decay and Economies Die." To Ferguson's surprise, it's easier to open a company in the U.K. than in the U.S., where it takes 433 days to jump through all the bureaucratic hoops. That's up from 358 in 2006.

Thinking of selling it...or at least utilizing the sell in May seasonal strategy (Thank-you.); I have BP, XOM, WMB and its spinoff WPX. I really like WPX but might sell it as it produces no dividend; I would take a loss if I sold it now, however...Presently over 10% of my portfolio is in oil and energy stocks. I am being watchful and on the alert in terms of allocation, weighting, strategy. Planning to sell off some MRO and add to COP, esp. now and in the next 6 months when oil prices are historically lower.

I already had COP, came in at a low point and doubled my position right after the split, so I have both PSX and a larger position in COP. I had MRO and now have MPC; I am long MPC, which has a larger dividend than MRO, whose price has essentially flatlined in the last 4-5 years.
