I inherited an intact portfolio from my mother 3 years ago; at the end of 2011 after much consideration I fired the portfolio manager (who was also my mother's) and embarked upon a journey of managing my own assets, - which has thrilled, challenged, frustrated, confounded, and inspired me. Taking on this responsibility has totally changed my life. I am studying to take both the Series 7 and 63 exams in the near future.....update: just passed the 63 so will be looking for a sponsor to take the 7.
