Being a project management consultant for more than 30 years, I learned that understanding complexity involves more than crunching numbers - it requires the ability to spot trends and understand implications. As for investing, I have been winning and losing longer than most analysts and brokers have been alive - progressively more of the former, thankfully. I have always managed my portfolio and was able to retire at 55 - at least I don't need to paid anymore, I just volunteer. Now investments are my only paying job.
