Probably won't go that low. Maybe take out stops under $500 before rallying again.

  • Doubling Down On Apple [View article]
"a P/E of 10 is not unreasonable if Apple could not come up with a good new product. "

When did it become unreasonable to expect Apple, one of the most innovative tech companies in history, with a cash horde of $160B to invest in new R&D, to "come up with a good new product", something they have been doing successfully for decades? And why would a leading edge tech company only be worth a P/E 20% lower than the market?

It happens all the time. It's called "insider trading".

  • Apple Can Bounce, But Buyers Be Patient [View article]
Apple has had a huge rally. Why would a minor pullback indicate a lack of institutional interest? Priceline has also been weak lately, but why is that a reflection of anything other than the normal ebb and flow of a massive bull run?

Also, why not tell us where you see major support levels instead of referring us to a report we have to go and download?

I think more people would read your comments if you used paragraphs, which organize ideas and make it much less stressful for the reader.

Chinese have been in love with Apple, but were disappointed by the i5 for lack of perceived innovation.

  • Where's The Hot Money Drained From Apple Stock? Can Behavioral Analysis Find It? [View article]
From where I sit, market makers have been far too bullish on Google. They can't wait to buy calls from me, filling me immediately at great prices far out of the money, and I can't sell them fast enough. I've made a killing this past month.

Just like with Apple, everyone keeps waiting for the big rally back to new highs that just may never come.

Google's been selling off while the market's been rallying. Shouldn't that tell the brilliant market makers something?

"They still make the best product on the market and will for at least the next 20 years."

Unfortunately, you lost all credibility with the "next 20 years part". It was good while it lasted.

A very clever article. Every stud has his day, and Apple's best are behind it. But with age may come wisdom and grace. This could be the best "value" stock of the next 5 years. I'm a buyer in the low 400's for sure.

"supply chain constraints" is a "serious issue"? Demand so strong that you can't meet it all immediately is a "serious issue"?

Did you read that stuff about "supply chain constraints" from an analyst?

Actually Jonathan your comment makes no sense. To assume a stock is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it regardless of the fundamentals is throwing value investing out the window. I guess that would make you a "momentum" or "technical" trader.

He lays out a fundamental thesis any value investor can hang their hat on. His thesis of "fair value" assumes very conservative numbers, which is the point of the article.
