  • Short Gold For The Long Haul [View article]
    eagle1003,

I was looking for a more technical and concrete answer. Exactly by what mechanism does GLD inventory rise and fall.

With all the comments here I am surprised that nobody answered. Maybe nobody understands what moves GLD inventory.

But the author here put great weight on a falling GLD inventory, but how is that relevant? If I sell GLD someone else buys so a sale does not directly effect inventory.
My guess is that GLD needs to control inventory in some manner so the GLD price tracks actual physical gold, but does anybody know how this works?

Can someone please explain to me what makes GLD inventory rise and fall.

If I sell some GLD someone else is buying so this transaction should not change inventory levels.

  • Oil Might Go Below $85, But It Won't Stay There For Long [View article]
The price of oil has been around $90 for 4-5 years. So if the price should be lower, where is the glut of oil?

I have had a long position on NG for a while now. SInce last May I am well ahead.

Anybody trading on the short side of NG is probably getting killed unless they are really agile.

I also don't understand how these guys are predicting all these 100+ injections. We had 3 in 2011. We now have much more demand and supply is not growing in leaps and bounds as it was in 2011. Arguably supply will be dropping this year as many more wells are being completed than drilled. This backlog of wells will not last forever.

  • ARM Holdings: The Real Reason That It Ends Badly [View article]
Give me a specific example of something that I should need from Microsoft. The best thing about dumping Microsoft is that I am dumping a bunch of aggravation.

And my CHromebook, which I am now using constantly, keeps getting better while my experience with Microsoft is that Windows keeps getting slower with more and more glitches until sooner or later it won't even boot.

My Windows computer won't boot and I don't miss it at all.

I have a Chromebook and an Ipad and Linux still runs on the former Windows computer.

I can't think of anything that I need from Microsoft.

I thought it was >100 next week. It looks like that >100 injection keeps moving back a week.

  • Microsoft Finds A New Enemy In The Browser Wars [View article]
Microsoft's Windows 8 computers can get bricked.

Even Surface pros get bricked. Google for bricked surface pros.

This is because of Microsoft's implementation of UEFI. In fact if one buys a Windows 8 computer one is actually buying a crippled computer with Microsoft's UEFI rules.

And my Vista machine at home won't boot anymore and Microsoft apparently has no solution but to reinstall. Of course reinstalling Vista means scribbling all over the MBR and since I have a dual boot machine, this solution is not satisfactory.

So I have no Microsoft at home and life is good. I use my Ipad, chromebook and Linux.

"A rise in NG goes right to the bottom-line, cash-flow-back is expected sometime in 2014, and from there will be huge."

I wonder why a fall of NG did not subtract from the bottom line.

I don't need to worry what I do with my Ipad or my Chromebook. I can click on anything and not worry about it.

And I have had some problems with Linux boxes in the past after upgrades, but there was always a fix.

There is no fix here with Microsoft.

ANd I am reading on the internet sites about all kinds of WIndows 8 problems. And the new one about them being bricked. Microsoft is demanding that WIndows devices be crippled hardware with their UEFI rules.
