Phil - here is you quote from 8-21

"Freddie Mac (FRE) is under similar attack and we added into yesterday’s losses (also detailed in last night’s post) and came up with a couple of offsetting spreads that profit from a further decline. I still think the whole thing is nonsense and there is no way Freddie and Fannie (FNM) are failing"

Sometimes its best to admit you were very very wrong and move along.

"Freddie Mac (FRE) may also be oversold down at .90."

So Phil... what's your outlook for ongoing earnings for FRE?

How much govt preferred do you think they are going to buy over the next few years?

Do you like to buy companies that the government accuses of fraudulant accounting?

Do you think that FRE will be managed for profitability or maybe for poilitcal purposes?

There are thousands of stocks, why the hell would you get involved in this one?

    Or are you just gambling?

Phil. this has nothing at all to do with options...

In fact you seem to talk about less and less about options and specific positions every week.

Maybe you need to get back to basics, stop trying to save the world and just trade.

    FRE -

Please let me know how you build an offsetting spread on a stock that is trading below the lowest strike price on the chain while still benefiting from any upside?

And if you don't have upside, what's the point.

I've been trading for 20 years and I still don't understand how to do this...
