  • Windows Blue Should End Microsoft Bull Run  [View article]
MSFT future is very bleak, currently the company lacks a vision or a visionary leader. One person who could hv given a vision was Ray Ozzie, who is no longer with MS. Company lacks innovation, today they are in a leadership position it is mainly due to the market share. When you look at the OS shipped on devices/tablets/smartp... MS has lost the leadership position. In 3-5 years MS marketshare on OS for the devices shipped will end up 10%. Android, iOS, Ubuntu etc will be the players to be watched. MS does not have any good story when it comes to online, which is the future. They have been also very poor with Acquisitions

The firm also sees SAP releasing a cloud service for running Business Suite apps on Hana.  [View news story]
Definitely Gartner has got the stats wrong
    1. SAP now promotes Sybase extensively
    2. Point to be noted that they are also migrating some of the existing customers who are on Databases Oracle, SQL, DB2 to Sybase
    3. On BI they have a lot of traction with Hana
