Boeing 787 vs. Airbus A380 - The Latest Chapter

One small oversight in this piece is the fact the the direct competitor to the 787 is not the A380 (they target different market sectors) - it's the A350 which now has an order book of some 450 aircraft. The biggest threat to Boeing from the A380, is not that it's competing with the 787 - it isn't - it's that it may kill off Boeing's cash-cow, the 747, for good.
