The eBay Ad Campaign Has Begun: Will It Help? [View article]
@Scot Wingo "Seller reaction was negative with an occasional positive of 'at least they are doing something this year' as you can see in the comments of that post."
Scot, I've seen "that post" and not one person stated 'at least they are doing something this year' And, there were no positive posts at all!!
eBay+++ didn't even show up, and has been silent since Amazon's Q3 kicked eBay to the wayside! seekingalpha.com/artic...
Well Scot, desperate times call for desperate measures, and eBay seems to be getting pretty darn desperate.
If they really want to "bring back" the buyers, first they have to bring back the sellers that made the billions of dollars for them. And we know that's not going to happen.
"Come to think of it, eBay" is the last place I look for online purchases these days.

Well heck, if "maybe" qualifies our statements, then I predict shares back to $10. "Maybe" before this day is over :)
Am I senile? "Maybe" Am I stupid? I don't think so!

This my friend is the most insightful statement about eBay that I have ever read!!!! Two thumbs, way up, for your post!!!!!!!
"If you walk into any random house in america and ask them what they want to do with some of their old junk in the basement, most will say, "maybe I'll put it on ebay." (quote @ Hester)
This statement is just not true any more. That bloom is off the rose, and has been for a couple of years now.
Garage, estate, and live auction sales are fun again, since the crowds have died out. Why? Because former eBay sellers have given up. Antique stores/malls, re-sale shops, and flea markets are starting to boom since sellers are filling them again with items formerly sold on eBay.
Any buzz about eBay these days is negative, from thousands of former buyers and sellers.
