    There was no price increase.... I give up!

    Guess you would have to be a seller that depended on eBay for all or part of their income.
    I sold there for kicks, but at least I have empathy for the others.
    Seems empathy is not in your vocabulary.

    You sure are presumptuous for someone that seems to abhor the trait in others.

    Let me explain it to you like a first grader:
    eBay offered a discount
    eBay then said no discount would be given
    So, sellers started listing, thinking no discount would be offered
    They became livid when eBay recanted again, and offered a discount, after they listed
    Got it??

    And, I don't still use eBay. Too many seller friendly sites are available.
    Pretty darn presumptuous on your part.
    I'm just here to help tear it down, and aggravate the cheerleaders.
    It seems to be working:)

    As far as a "criminal enterprise"
    that remains to be seen.
    By the way, it's eBay not Ebay.

    eBay offered a 50% off listing discount for Nov. 23 through 25, and then sent this notice:
    "There are currently no plans for a 50% off Insertion Fee Promotion on the dates mentioned in the prior email"

    Today they are offering a 50% off listing discount, for Nov. 25 only.

    Sellers are livid!
    Many went ahead with their listings, since the discount had been rescinded.
    This is just a snippet of the woes that sellers have to deal with.

    If you think our complaints are only about higher fees, then it shows that you are clueless.
    The header has the word "Seller" in it, and we are/were sellers.
    We post about what we know, not about what we Think we know.

    Better buy ear plugs because the NOISE will continue!!!!!!

    Probably just a "surge" in the interest generated by Scot's blogs.
    I have noticed that his page is starting to load as slowly as eBay's.
    If I feel my DSL connection seems slow, I just go and do a few searches on eBay, and then most other sites seem blazing fast!

    You two should have sold your eBay stock when it was "up" to $25.

    eBay has p*ssed off a lot of people, and it seems possible to me that a few of them may have hacking skills.

    Sad for the small sellers, but the thought of Diamonds losing large sums of money brings a smile to my face :)

    Behold the power of auctions!
    Simply out of interest I've been following this item on eBay:

    It's a NIB vintage Weber grill.
    The seller started it at $139.99 with a But-It-Now of $159.
    A person started the bidding, which stops the BIN feature.
    The item is currently at $305, with 3 hrs. to go.

    Should eBay go retail?

    Not sure where you've been lately, but for some time now sellers can only leave positive feedback for buyers.
