Thanks for your insights and adding HYG. Seems like nothing can really move in any significant direction these days. Start down, end up, or start up and then trade down. I guess we're just waiting for after Labor Day.

Thanks Dave. I would like to see one of the high-yield bond ETFs such as HYG or JNK to get a better picture of how they are responding in this market. Sure does seem to be ready to rest. Thanks for all you do.

What about that new BRF for Brazil small caps? How is that doing in your book? Less weight to PBR so provides better indicator of Brazil consumer economy. Always appreciate your insights.

    cont.
will be more interesting. What happens if the green shoots don't appear? How hard and fast do we fall? If this "recovery" stumbles, the fall could be worse than last October. Let's hope the powers that be know what they're doing and can keep the ship afloat.

Good bye and good luck to those who want to leave. I want to see the charts and comments by David, not by you anyway. If you're that good of a trader, what are you doing here?

I appreciate Dave's comments and insights. Brazil is a great place to invest. I got ILF and EWZ.

Thanks for your inclusion of HYG in your recent charts. I've been using it along with BND for the bond portion of my ETF portfolio. HYG adds some spice to the safety of BND. It will be interesting to see how HYG performs over the next few months.
I always appreciate your comments. Hope your wife is recoverying well.

It was a bloody Thursday, but as you said, on very light volume. Will be interesting to see how next week goes. Being defensive makes sense. I've been adding to my ILF positions since it was in the mid-20's. But may pause for awhile.
I'm in HYG and saw the comment they made about allocation, but don't understand the consequences. How does it compare with JNK?
Thanks for your insights. I for one always find them useful, compared to some.

Always apprecaite your comments and charts. Since you discussed bonds, could you from time to time present your comments on either JNK or HYG? I've been adding these to my portfolio and would appreciate your insights on their trends.
    Have a happy 4th.

What a nice suprise to find your comments on a Saturday morning. Up late last night? Everything ok at home? This week will be interesting to see if SPY stays above the 200 day moving average.
Thanks for your comments and analysis.

Welcome back Dave, and hoping for a speedy recovery for you and your family. Assuming the market is trying to look six months forward, it's still hard to tell what it sees out there. Past news is supposed to be discounted. But as you pointed out, the market gets stumped by GM warning of impending doom. Who knew!
Any thoughts on HYG? Or is a high yield bond ETF not something you're interested in.

Love your charts and insights. I've been in ILF for awhile and am enjoying the ride. What do you think of VNQ? It could be a nice leading indicator as if real estate ever recovers the rest of the market will sure to follow.

And Cetin, please create your own commentary page. If we want your insights, we'll visit your page. As is, we're interested in what Dave has to tell us, thank you very much.

I'm wondering how the Obama stimulus package will impact the base commodities like steel, etc. XLB could be attractive if you think there will be massive infrastructure projects coming in 2009. As to Brazil (EWZ) with RIO and PBR in the ETF mix.
