you're right...I missed your post. but my point remains the same...everything you said is right...and backed up by facts as usual...in which I know you take pride...but siri has done little to combat the negative spin. to expect the media to go positive is ridiculous...its simply not the way they do business...never have...never will. so don't spend a precious second wishing or expecting othewise. mel has left the media, and more importantly, his shareholders totally in the dark. as many have said he's operating like this company is private already. even Malone for that matter has not commented on the deal..at least as far as I know. until these guys step up and set the record straight...bank on media going negative. only hope is this company puts together some strong quarters, forms some important strategic alliances, develop new lines of revenue...PERFORMS. but i have to admit...the latest developments are giving me hope that siri will live to fight another day without us shareholders getting totally wiped out. at this point I'm not looking for this miraculous pop in pps. from what i can tell both ergen and malone are both offering siri a path to remain intact as is, but materially nothing more.

I bought another 100k yesterday at .11 and now have my cost ave down to .34. I feel like I'm in the ball park. Bottom line, I read all the stuff and come to my own conclusions. where is COH? I assumed that Mel could tackle some of the Feb debt with COH and rest thru equity swap. Also, what about recent cash coming in from subs looking to lock in lower pricing options? what about FCF for Q4. If Mel is really struggling to handle this first wave of 09 debt then the street might be right...it's just a matter of time before BK. May just a few short months away.

I'm optimistic about q4 and hope to see continued improvement across the board. just a little worried about the overall impact on churn that this severe recession is having. but that too could be offset with higher penetration rate of vehicles coming off the line equipped with sat rad. all in all i see this thing moving in the right direction. everyone has so many ideas about what this company should be doing, and the lack of effective marketing...i don't get all those complaints. company as a merged entity is only a couple quarters old and climbing a severe mountain of debt and other operational challenges. I think Mel is doing just what he needs to do by sticking to the basics, watching costs and all the other steps required just to keep this company solvent. Mel is no dummie...once he gets some breathing room I'm sure you'll see the company get a lot more creative with strategic partnerships and great identity building marketing that will take us to the next level. but that is "then"...today we are in the "now" which requires caution, operational conservatism, optimziing synergies of the merger, etc. I feel, just like many of us...that we are really close to turning a corner. not sure if 3/1 brings us all the answers, but hopefully enough to eliminate threat of BK restore confidence in the street, ]]> Thu, 29 Jan 2009 09:36:02 -0500
