  • More foreclosure stories: Neighbors surprised to see a Wells Fargo (WFC) executive using an oceanfront home, lost by a couple duped by Bernard Madoff, for weekends and eye-catching parties - and an agent saying that the bank refused to show the house to interested buyers.
     [View news story]
I think I saw a comment that there was an agreement with the bankrupt owner to not show the house for a specified period of time. But that does not excuse the occupancy by the lady banker.

  • A Capitalist's Letter to President Obama [View article]
One respondent indicated Obama will "save" us just as FDR did. How much longer before people realize that WW II is what brought us out of the depression. FDR's policies other than getting us into the war were part of the problem extending the depression.

I agree with Perry B that comments should continue to be made but they should be based on fact and reason not the whitewash that surrounds anything written by the Obamaites.

  • Monday, November 24: Week in Review [View article]
People that praise Clinton seem to forget that it was the Republican congress headed by Newt Gingrich that forced Clinton to sign bills that democrats didn't like. Clinton rates as an above average President and much of that high rating is directly due to Newt. Clinton claims as his greatest achievement the signing of the "Welfare to Work" bill that he vetoed 2 or 3 times before he finally signed it.

  • Let's Clarify "The Worst Economy Since...." Debate [View article]
Barack Obama made a Joe Biden type statement in his acceptance speech on 11-4-08 something to the effect that we have the worst economy in a century. I wanted to shout at him that he should restudy the 30s which are within the last century. I have yet to see anyone recognize his misspeak.

rhj123 has it exactly right. Use your own term limits even though congress will never pass it on themselves.

  • Who Is For and Against the $700 Billion Bailout? [View article]
Squashnut saying this would end the career of several senators should realize that the senate should not be considered a career. Our constitution was written to have citizen legislators - not career politicians.
I will not vote for anyone that has served 12 or more years in a given office. TERM LIMITS should be a must.

  • Obama Is Bad for the Economy - Barron's [View article]
Those of you who praise clinton for his leaving the country with good economic conditions should really realize that he is considered a good president because Gingrich forced him to sign good legislation. Clinton once remarked that he considered his greatest achievement was to sign the "Right to Work" bill. He vetoed it two or three times before Gingrich again saw that it got to him again and he finally signed it.
