the oilfield glossary is a tool for new hires, something for them to look up. Not everyone in the company have geo backgrounds. Houston is SLB's HQ for the NAM and SAM regions, then you got Gatwick, Stavanger, Paris etc.. In essence, fitz and pursley are both right. Anywhere a country produces oil, SLB's got their hands on (some) of it.
