  • Trevali Mining: A Bet On Zinc And Growth [View article]
The GDP contracted at least 1%. China is imploding, Europe is not growing, Japan is fucked, EM are 95% dependent from the core.... demand could plummet also.

On the other hand this seems to be a pure zinc play, not overvalued. The peak everything theory includes also Zinc. New mines will not be good as the old one, less ore and less %. And Trevali badly needs some $$$ just to survive. Some dilution is inevitable.

  • The Effect Of India Solar Plant Project On Silver Price [View instapost]
All these calculations but I fail to grasp how much silver they will use at the end of the day. I mean: 132 million ounces in 7 years or about 20 million ounces a year.
So it means, that the content of all the panels that they will install, will be 132 million ounces. It is a fixed number at the end of the day:
(4.0GW) = (number of panels installed) x (Oz in each panel)
This would be 132 million ounces??? Can someone confirm this part of the calculation : how much silver goes in a typical solar panel? Normally 2/3 ounce per solar panel or 20 grams of silver.
A normal solar panel produces 80 watts?
Another assumption about the 6h of of light. I mean direct light ok, but here we speack about rajastan, so I will say @ least 8h non?

  • Afrezza may miss PDUFA date: Cowen, Piper [View news story]
If Afrezza is Approved, the company is worth from 10 to 140 (seeking alpha scenarios).
If not is worth 1-2 USD.
    50 of the theoretical value = 65 /50 afrezza approved= 32 /50 more discounting = scenario gives: 16 now.

Mr Mann is 87 young. He is invested 50% in the company, with 40% of his assets.
Speaking about endorsement. This is the kind of Mann that made America great.

FDA is clearly a corrupt agency in many senses, but if it works they will have to approve it.
I would point to the fact that if you buy @ 6 the risk is to loose 80 % or to make 100% times on the long run (3 years).

New tax = low risk. They will not make a new new tax for some time. It is more predictable.
USA could create a new tax also. But when the gov confiscated gold, the gov didn't confiscate gold mines, and shares grow up a lot. I agree with the rest.

Gold has to be on hand and in a secure place.
PM shares are risky, but are a private certificate on a private owned business, containing PM's + a management. Eventually a cash flow. Sweet.

Avoid South Africa, the combination of mining deepness, increasing costs, electricity generation prices and shortage, new generation, next generation of black gov , low actual prices and increased mechanization robotization will really change the country and I will avoid it.

You're both right. China and USA are risky, more than average because they're powerful. That's also the reason why my portfolio is 30% Africa 20% Canada 15% USA 15% other EM countries 10% Europe and 10% South AM.
But you need to relativize. Switzerland is safe? You know what, there are no metals mines. Would you invest in Kirghistan? Now, the USA are liquid, and they will probably liquidate you as a shareholder if they nationalize a company. Perhaps in China to, and in CNY. They both just have to print it. A country like burkina faso can be dangerous, can be stupid, but is weak. So I would spilt my investments in both, and be prepared to sell if danger arise. I don't know about Mexico, but I know that criminals can be business partners and bought, same as governments.

  • Insiders Are Buying Perseus Mining - Should You? [View article]
Really really undervalued. The gold miners have been FUBAR. Perseus hedge is really something interesting. Ghana is one of the best jurisdictions out there in Africa. At these increadibly depressed prices I would try to entry @ 0.21/22. Jeez I Bought 2700 shares for 5400CAD and I'm down 88%. So at this point I can buy 12300 shares for only 2500CAD. Keep in mind that the PE is 4.20, and don't need financing etc.

I see China as a mild risk jurisdiction.
SLV has apparently a good management with one of the Canadian deepest knowledge in situ in China. Now, all we know that corruption and cronyism are rampant in China, and SLV could be destroyed if a China power want so. On the other side, China loves her internal Silver production. And why mess with a company that has 200-500mio in assets? Just buy it, get rid of the Canadians, without messing with them.
I'm long since 4.50. My advice, hold. For new player, I would rather recommend First Majestic NYSE:AG or SLW.
    Cheers

  • J.C. Penney: A Strong Buy For Contrarian Investors With Outsized Return Potential [View article]
    Cit:
Thanks Star, yes, just JCP. I'm rather new to investing on my own

    1) If you're new, please don't buy shit like JCP.
    2) Don't play with options if you don't know what is the risk.

For myself, shorting JCP. buyed some strike 8 may 14 puts back when JCP was 10.50 (I timed 1 day to late damn). It is a negative cash flow machine.

    Good Luck.

  • Allana Potash Nearing Construction Financing [View article]
I agree that AAA is the best Potash development company out there. I would buy in 2 tranches, 50% @ 0.42 and more if it drops below with a market meltdown.
Competent management, and proprietary Gibuti port infrastructure are an advantage, as will be the future chinese investments in railroads and highways that will further lower the transportation costs.

    Actual presentation: http://bit.ly/19tp8CB

    Cheers
