These ignoramuses (spelling?) are pathetic! Makes me long for a good bout of dictatorship!! could it really be that much worse than watching a circus of criminal & incompetant Congressmen scold a bunch of criminal & greedy (also some incompetants as well) CEO's. Hey but at least they fixed baseball!!

Should Banks Be Publicly Traded?

Interesting thought. I find it hard to believe their isn't a market for good ol' fashioned George Bailey style Thrifts. I'd invest in one. Many people on SA have talked about the repeal of Glass-Stegal having led to this. I do wonder considering the law of unintended consequences if NOT repealing G-S would've led to many of our banks being gobled up by large international mega-banks (e.g. Mitsubishi, HSBC, Santander, et.al.). Almost like a necessary evil when you think about it. Food for thought.
