  • China's Construction Bank Buys AIG Finance. Is This the Start of a New Trend? [View article]
    What's the author's point?

    Somehow for all these rehashing of the simple news of a very modest aquisition, the author managed to NOT add any insight of his own, not to mention that he also failed to notice this 'AIG Finance' is only a local Hong Kong credit card Issuer. CCB already does business in HK. There is nothing particularly 'East-West' in this transaction. Unlike some other Chinese banks such as ICBC and China Development Bank, CCB has been very timid outside its borders.
