I'm a 67 year old grandfather. I've got a nice account with a major firm, and I need my pension, my social security, and my 403b. After graduating from Texas University, and spending three years as a junior officer in Naval intelligence, I started a banking career in Houston. I finished my MBA at the University of Houston. By age 41, I was CEO of a suburban National Bank. The bank was purchased by a Bank Holding Company, and I got a nice buyout, and tried the Investment business as a retail broker for a major broker and investment bank. I loved the market, but hated selling.
Fifteen years ago, I traded the financial life for the education business. I've been a vocational counselor for a south Texas Independent ...More School District. I'm in my last six weeks before retirement. I'm looking forward to a regular tee time, and more visits with grandchildren.
