  • Don't Bet On Microsoft Hitting $50, Play Apple At $700 Instead [View article]
A decline is a decline. Excuses excuses, you just had a product refresh, sales should be exploding like Tim Cook's thoughts of "an Ipad Christmas"

Not to mention IPhone ASP down $40

Complete Fail, "we dont show our hand," where is the vision? Just tell us or dont tell us anything.

GOOG main competitor is not MSFT but FB. FB is cutting into its core business.

Windows commands 50% of rev which is $20B in $40B market. Either Linux is running for free and no generating rev or its discounted.

What is the most popular Linux product?
The thing is you dont need to run scripts in the backend on Windows, Server does it all for you without having to run scripts.

Where do you get 65% of servers? I find it hard to believe since no one can support these devices. Linux is so high in costs. MSFT has mass distribution and I never have to hear them cutting margins to compete vs Linux. What is the most popular Linux product? Everyone uses Windows Server, syncs with all its other products from SQL, Office, licenses, compatibility. Thats a weak argument, I can just do a push to update my OS, you'll have to write scripts in backend. That takes much more specialized skills that most have to outsource or contract out.

Android sucks why do they have 15 patches ice cream sandwich, jelly bean, kit kat. Thats a major problem when your releasing patches every 3months. Serious failure by Google in releasing flawed OS. Though Linux was supposed to be good? Its only popular because Google was desperate to get into mobile. Its not even it main MO when your giving the OS away for free. Servers are a joke, you'll have to increase costs just to develop, support, and update any issues. The US doesnt even have enough people to support Linux.

  • Microsoft Windows Phone Should Gain Momentum Despite Sagging Growth In Smartphone Markets [View article]
Great article. The growth seems to be in India and Africa. Samsung ATIV SE and Nokia 930 seems to be great devices that will drive growth. Gaining share by all means necessary in emerging markets will not be easy but low cost adoption can come quickly. They have the marketing to invest in its growth

Yeah I open source blows when when only a small group of people use it. Linux has been around for like 20 years, I think we waited long enough.Who is going to develop on this platform? Tell me what CTO or CIO will look twice at open source and bring this in house? Not going to happen.

Why are you using W8? Arent you the one that says open source is the best? Why not use that? Use Ubuntu its free. Your contradicting yourself.

WOW you bought the licenses? Why not use cheapskate Linux for free?

LOL "Half of Respondents Have Adopted", SO WHAT?

Good luck finding a patch for something that half of the users use. No one backs it not even Ubuntu which has been out for decades.
