Within the next 2 years we're going to see the emergence of satellite TV in every car, just like what happened to cable in the 1980's. The programming will explode Sirius into a profitable giant.IMO

Even if 4Q numbers disappoint (you never know how wall street will react, they're so fickle), I believe 1Q 09 will be much better.They're generating revenue by renewing contracts at the old subscription price before march 11. I also believe that people that wanted to purchase a subscription but were afraid of bankruptcy(which makes no sense) will now buy.
It seems that the deal with Ergen is taking center stage and Malone is sitting tn the backdrop. I know there is bad blood between Mel and Ergen. Bloomberg TV just had a story about the lawsuit Ergen had against Mel in 2004 where he sued him for anti-trust offences. Apparently Viacom took 2 channels off of dish network and when angry customers called in they gave the customers Mels home number. Which IS kind of funny, but I think with Mels pride he would rather not do business with Ergen IMO.
BDP, I like your optimism and getting the SP over $1 would be an incredible feat. But I definitely see dilution happening sometime this year. Why wouldn't they do it???
