Wal-Mart vs. eBay: Which is a Safer Stock to Own? [View article]
I disagree on your ebay comments. Ebay's core values are fading. Sellers are being forced to look elsewhere to sell. Ebay makes changes every other month which hurt sellers. Sellers can't accept money orders, checks or cashiers checks and have to go with paypal or propay when available. Ebay put limits on shipping fees. Many book/media sellers have to pay shipping fees out of their own pockets because their ebay's limit doesn't cover all shipping fees. Feedback has changed to only benefit the buyer. All changes that have been made recently are going against the sellers. We are paying more then we ever paid in fees, even though ebay lowered the listing fees, but went up at the final value fee. The sellers are the ones that pays ebay's fees. Sellers are leaving left and right. If there isn't a change soon for the benefit of the sellers, I think ebay will be in big trouble. Ebay puts a lot of its success on paypal which it owns. Wal-Mart is a well established business with ups and downs, but people will always shop there. Just my two cents.
