On the energy play, I've been buying NRG when it dropped into the teens and have been buying before it got an unsolicited offer from EXC. It's 3rd Q result tripled and has raised its guidance. I'd rather put my money in there for now over CHK.

Take a look at NRG, GE and CEG. I loaded up on GE when it dipped in the teens. I'm doing the same for NRG now that it dipped into the teens and picked up some CEG when it went down to the low 20's. Long on all these stocks.
As for tech, I like Rimm. Wait for the next dip, it will come.

The mortgage situation has a long way to go, look to buy into financials with limited exposure to the subprime mess like BAC, WFC and JPM on down days. No rush, things will get worse before they get better.

RonB is correct in saying that there is no evidence of Buffett buying any US Bancrop or Burlington. As reported in my investment group at lanaslines.com, link here: www.lanaslines.com/com...
Buffett added stakes in NRG Energy; increased stakes in IR and SNY; by his own admission on CNBC, he has also increased his stake in WFC or AXP.
