  • Do Americans Save Enough? [View article]
Why would anyone in their right mind want to "Save" money at the rates being paid by our best pals down at "The Bank"?

The paltry amounts being offered as "interest" are well below the expected CPI thus you are loosing money by putting it into the hands of the money changers down at the temple, and then there is the ever present hand in your pocket come tax time when you have to claim the interest as a capital gain. Does this not count as a loss on a loss? It is bad enough to lose money by simple calculation, but now the government wants us to do it geometrically!

Put it under the Mattress or spend it before it becomes totally useless.

  • What Were the People of California Thinking?  [View article]
The occupants of the State of California are not widely known, or respected, for their ability to think. Witness their affinity for the likes of Jerry Brown, Nancy Pelosi and countless other examples of other people who I would not trust to house sit for me, let alone "govern" anything!

Truly a prime example of Liberal Socialism. It's complete and utter lack of accountability, conscience, ethics, or remorse. These publicly elected officials are no more than "Pets we can no longer afford to keep".

  • Consumption Junction: 2 Thoughts on the Declining Savings Rate [View article]
Nothing has been mentioned about the absolutely ridiculous concept of putting your money in the Bank. Current interest rates (on savings) are aprox. half of the inflation rate, and then our beloved government demands a double digit tax on the paltry amount that the Bank is obliged to report as interest income for the poor chump that is willing to hand hard earned money over to them to loan out at 4 times the amount they pay to use it. Hard to be a Capitalist with these terms.

  • AIG: Geithner's Outraged? He Should Be Embarrassed [View article]
Do you seriously believe that the "officials" in Washington and sundry State Capitols actually read the mail that is sent to them? They are too busy fishing money out of Lobbyist's pockets or browsing over potential legislation that is being provided to them by the people they represent - and by that I don't mean the taxpaying voter!

These charlatans have scores of underage minions who may open your strongly worded letter and then, time permitting, get a chuckle or two out of it before tossing it aside.

Members of Congress should not be paid to "serve". They should be forced to survive on the extremely lucrative hand outs they get from their true supporters and leave us, the taxpaying CHUMP, alone!

  • Biotech Outlook: M&A Will Continue [View article]
Is there any logical reason for Pluristem Therapeutics Inc (PSTI) to be included in any M&A thought process. Currently trading at it's 52 week low. My opinon is that as it holds license on several "cutting edge" stem cell derivitives with great promise, it should be on somebody's radar screen.
