  • The iPhone's Next Carrier Is Likely T-Mobile, Not Verizon [View article]
Does anyone else see the Apple brand potentially deteriorating with adding T-Mobile? They are already on a second rate carrier. Moving to T-Mobile seems like a move in the wrong direction. Here, have the hottest phone since <insert former hot phone>. You can have it on only the crappiest networks!! Apple should make a CDMA phone. It's in their best interest if they really are after new users. Spare me the discussion on second rate technology. They're already on a second rate carrier! Imagine an iPhone on a carrier that actually worked!

  • Research in Motion: Downgrade Is Too Late [View article]
Sorry James... I don't buy it. Long RIMM at $55.70. I still see the iPhone as a consumer toy. My work phone has to WORK. 100k plus apps of Pizza Hut, Venice Maps, Farts, Crying Babies, Shazam, Facebook, etc. isn't going to make my employer switch. Those are acutal reasons to NOT switch. We'll spend as much time blocking iPhone apps as we do on the PCs.

  • Verizon's Droid Is the Real Deal [View article]
As cool as the iPhone is or may be, with the advertising compaign Verizon is running, it seems to assure that the iPhone will remain with AT&T, which may be the beginning of the end once iPhone owners and potential iPhone owners realize they are stuck with the AT&T network. Apps on maps of Venice are cool and all, but at some point I'm going to need to make a phone call that has to go through.

  • Cramer's Stop Trading! The Correction Is Coming (9/24/09) [View article]
Bobby - You're right on that he is just one source of information. I think he does have to be a little bi-polar however since the market is bi-polar with its ups an downs. He also needs to have opinions on a lot of stocks since his viewers follow a lot of different stocks. Imagine how boring the show would be if he only had an opinion on his bread and butter stocks. People have to realize it's television and you get what you pay for as far as stock advise. I use the show to be current on trends then do my own homework.

  • Rotten Apple? Google Voice App Blocked from App Store [View article]
I love how Apple fans always cry foul whenever a negative article about Apple is written.

  • Five (Actually Three) Things Defense Sector Investors Are Thinking About  [View article]
I agree with the comment above. Increasing speding in defense increases employment opportunities for Americans. You can't outsource very much of a classified project.

  • Mortgage Refinancing Is Not the Solution [View article]
The author is wrong about requiring 20% down. The FHA minimum for a down payment is 3.5%. There are still down payment assistance programs for lower income families. Property values are still too high in many areas of California. Stockton and the Central Valley don't count.

  • Citi Belatedly Learns to Play the Public Relations Game [View article]
So what exactly was TARP v1.0 supposed to be for? Several articles here claim that TARP was not necessarily supposed to lubricate the credit markets but to stabilize the diminishing balance sheets. I guess they go hand in hand. I'll admit ignorance. It seems difficult though to lend when regulators are clamoring for the financial institutions to increase capital levels. I do agree that management of Citi or any of the other financial institutions that received TARP money be left up to the institution. If Government felt they were incapable of managing their assets, they should have seized the company and liquidated it. I seem to find articles about politicians bickering over purchases of an airplane or marketing campaigns infuriating. There is a real problem at hand. Please leave the low hanging fruit alone.

  • Here Comes a Consumer Killer [View article]
Credit card companies actually don't like people who keep low balances and never pay finance charges. Their interests are in making money from your finance charges. You really are not the preferred or valued customer you think you are. Extending you credit may not be in their best interests.

  • Who Will Win? Microsoft Doubles Google's Offer to Verizon [View article]
I disagree with both of the above comments. VZ and RIMM should see a good numbers with the Storm. The iPhone is cool and all but it's really just a toy and sales are projected to decrease. Let's also add that AT&T is a horrible provider. Complain all you want about VZ service, AT&T just doesn't work. I also have no love for Google either. Where is all the innovation GOOG owners drool over? They're an add company plain and simple.

  • Google’s Chrome Saturating an Already Crowded Browser Market [View article]
Sorry, but being a little faster than IE is just not good enough. Chrome needs something big to distinguish it from IE and Firefox. Google needs to figure out how to sell its innovative technological advancements. I'm tired of the lack of focus in this company and the pet-projects that never go anywhere in adding shareholder value. We invest to make money; not to donate code that investors paid a premium for.
