New Seinfeld Microsoft Ad Runs, Is About Nothing

Upon his leaving his active role with the company recently, I recall viewing Bill's last-day-on-the-job video put out by Microsoft. It was cute funny. Jerry's about-nothing humor on his show was New-York funny. Other than possibly stroking Bill's ego and giving Jerry crazy money, this Bill-and-Jerry commercial will do nothing to create any type of demand for Microsoft products.

Something better could be a short clip where Bill is in the audience during one of Jerry's stand-up routines. There's a heckler in the crowd. Jerry looks to Bill who then opens up his laptop or turns on his Pocket-PC, the Vista logo appears on the screen, Bill keys something and looks up to Jerry and winks. Picture switches to the heckler who's now clapping and cheering for Jerry. Scene changes to scene of Jerry continuing with his act and the message appears on the screen: "Vista Can Work For You Too".

I'm sure the agency that created this commercial has people that can do better. If they can't, it's time to change. Yada, yada, yada.
