  • Growth Investing's Golden Rule: Limit Your Losses [View article]
glad to see someone else is going though some actual fact checking. ESLR will be profitable pretty soon and then what>? I'm in lower than where it is at now and I do think it will rally after the new year starts as there are a lot of people selling here to book losses for the year. I've been doing it and I have been holding a lot of good gains until after the 1st to keep from paying too much in taxes this year. I'm assuming this is happening with a lot of folk, I expect some profit taking first of year similar to last year, and a dip will bring new buying opportunities...

  • Solar Sector: What's Driving New Projects? [View article]
Up front costs & storage are the 2 main reasons solar requires any subsidies. These two things aside it is pretty much the only FREE energy that can be adapted in most areas without large sums of highly trained people to maintain the technology.. Wind has a lot of upfront costs and requires highly trained people to maintain the equipment. Wind also is usually put out in areas where it is harder to reach, (off shore high up on mountain top ect.) Each of the 2 main FREE energy designs have similar up front costs, but it is much easier to higher a window washer to keep solar panels clean and they can be roof top mounted very easy vs wind. I think that the ESLR has a very good method of making the solar panels myself and I do own some stock (bought with in a month.) but I have owed it off and on for a while. FLSR also is a good company, but may not have any additional growth left for the foreseeable future. Soon there is going to be some sort of world wide tax on carbon and when there is you will have several main choices, Solar a home owner can do on a scale to make it reasonable with a 3~5 year return rate depending on the gov subsidies

  • Thursday Options Update: AA, ESLR, UNH, HOT & DE  [View article]
I was going to sell out of my ELSR today luckly I got the info on the the 5.0 call price so now I think I'll hold it for a while longer.

while solar stocks are tied to the OIL stocks I'm looking for a similar thing to happen that has been happening in Europe. when the government has imposed a higher price to the owner for any electricity they put into the grid. I dont have any solar panels but the investment that ESLR has done with 1 new factory in north east and the new shares it sold to fund more equipment they are actively growing the business. The cost is lower and the raw materials are much less than traditional silicon cell mfgs. FLSR if i'm not mistaken make metal based cells with a much higher cost per watt which will keep them out of the average home users ability to buy and install roof mounted solar system to gain a nice grid electricity off set in costs if the government actually does something good to help the electrical situation and makes the cost of buys the cells/system profitable in a mid to shorter span.
