  • Another Natural Gas Bull Sticks His Neck Out [View article]
In Washington, only the Dept of Energy recognizes natural gas as an important source of transportation energy. It is low cost, clean burning , weakens the Jihad movement, and provides US jobs.
Keep those letters flowing to our Congressmen.

  • Time to Buy and Hold for Reflation: Four Promising Sectors  [View article]
You are incorrect about corn ethanol. It has lowered the price of gasoline about 30 cents per gallon. It keeps our farmers prosperous who are the source of half of the US exports, which should be a major goal.
Jobs and exports are the key targets for saving our nation. Coal is a growing export, and CO2 is not a greenhouse gas. It is a colorless, odorless gas, inert (not corrosive) and is necessary to supply our trees, bushes, flowers, farm crops for photosynthesis. Natural production of CO2 exceeds man produced CO2. It has been at a sustainable level the last 50 centuries.

  • The Economy, And Why It's Taking So Long to Fix It [View article]
Wall Street is not the guilty party. Government needs to understand that the trade deficit determines where we have prosperity or we are exporting our wealth to people overseas. Jobs will be automatically satisfactory if we balance the trade deficit. What do we export? What can we tax help to achieve more exports? Health insurance has little to do with trade. The spotted tree toad has little to do with trade. Increasing our electric power costs with incorrect reasoning will hurt our ability to compete. Universities
don't teach common sense, and ingenuity.

Take a profit on gold now. It went up 15% in 3 weeks. There will be later chances to buy.

  • Switzerland's Dollar Denominated Debt and the Fed's Shrinking Balance Sheets [View article]
The Feds still don't get it. Social problem bandaids don't create jobs.
Locking up 2 million acres of forest in the west destroys jobs. Oil & gas need to be drilled, foreign unbalance of payments needs to be fixed. Compressed natural gas cars & trucks will create immediate sales, because they offer an operating saving that is real. Our coal & grain exports are the only thing keeping our country solvent.

  • Cramer's Mad Money - Common Investment Mistakes (1/2/09) [View article]
It is good to see the year off to a good start, showing support for Obama's good intentions.
The best of the infrastructure ideas for immediate benefit to the country is to plan on 1000 CNG new outlets, 52 per state, less Hawaii. This will involve hundreds of contractors (jobs), can untilize brownfield properties, will create an immediate market for Ford & GM vehicles (they have supplied thousands in Brazil and elsewhere), will stabilize gasoline prices on the low side, weaken OPECs hold, put a good dent in the $700 billion US per year for foreign oil from people that don't like us, and create a surplus cash flow for families every week to buy other goods.

  • Good Bye U.S. Savings Bonds, Hello Stem Cells, Farmland and India  [View article]
Long range forcasts are easy. 15 years from now, nobody will remember.
Right now we need guidance on which infrastructure companies are going to get busy. Compressed natural gas for vehicles is still the best solution:
It requires new infrastructure to distribute the gas, it will save drivers money which can be spent on other items, it will reduce that $700 billion dollars a year going to foreign countries, and the vehicles are cheaper to buy than electric ones.

  • Food: Against Self-Sufficiency [View article]
Efficiency is the goal for all industry. Sugar beets make good alcohol, but are difficult to store, and are seasonal. Corn stores well.
How much vacuum distillation is used in alcohol plants? This takes less energy . Canary

  • Should We Really Bail Out the Big Three Automakers with $73.20 Per Hour Labor?  [View article]
    Yes.
Bail them out. 10 jobs are related to each auto worker. Require restrictions as Diagojones has stated. Require Ford to have a CNG truck available in 09 , require GM to have a CNG Malibu available in 09, require Chrysler to have a CNG minivan available in 09. These are products that will immediately sell, as they cut your fuel bill in half, and they are proven vehicles. This will produce immediate cash flow which the country needs.
Congress also must encourage refilling stations all over the country through incentives. This will also create new jobs.
The other advantages of CNG is that it reduces OPEC controlling of fuel prices, and the CNG vehicle is never obsolete, as methane gas from waste can be produced further in the future. Canary

  • Wall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [View article]
Nancy Pelosi supports Compressed Natural Gas powered autos and trucks and so do I. Make the loans require these vehicles in 2009, and place incentives for building refilling stations all over.
This will provide immediate jobs, but also thumb our nose at OPEC and insure immediate cash flow for the auto companies.

  • Bad Mortgages Are Only the Beginning [View article]

The bank bailouts should follow the guidelines of Quicken Financial. This will help stop the fall of real estate by keeping many properties off the market and end up costing the taxpayers considerably less.
Their plan is to subsidize interest payment by 1/3 for 5 years, and reducing the interest charge to the homeowner and giving all a fixed 30 year contract. Sound workable to me.

  • The Mixed Blessings of $100 Oil [View article]
Importing too much oil destroys our economy, our jobs, and our deficit.
Drilling must be expanded in coastal areas and Alaska.
The workday car should run on compressed natural gas. This has twice the range of a battery-car , is lighter, cheaper, burns cleaner than gasoline, costs less to run (battery depreciation is over $10 per hour and CNG costs half of gasoline). The filliament wound tanks would be made in Michigan vs a China battery.
