  • Morgan Stanley expects strong FQ3 iPhone sales [View news story]
First comment is right on. Right now Apple is severely undervalued when compared to most other big names. Thus market has been running for 2 years while Apple went in reverse. Mr. Market is waking up to this fact. Accumulation is underway. Shorts are gonna get crushed over the next 12 months.

  • More on Apple: HomeKit, 3rd-party keyboards, Touch ID, widgets [View news story]
An amazing conference. What features, continuity, technology, and style. An amazing culture they have. I have never felt better about the future of Apple than I do now. I speak as an investor and also as a user.

  • Apple: Yes To iBeats And Yes To Paid Music Streaming [View article]
Anyone but Apple buys a company...."Visionary". Apple buys a company..."They are running out of ideas, the pipeline is empty, this must be cook's new product category...beats headphones, they are desperate, beats is so yesterday, late to the party rotten apple, apple doesn't make any products people actually buy....".

Irrationality only lasts so long in the markets. If you think I am referring to Apple's PE of 12 and not Amazons PE of 30 000 000 then you are mistaken. I am referring to both.

  • Apple's Capital Program Is Not Financial Engineering [View article]
Apple has been a very scrutinized stock. As a result it is a great case study of the disconnect at times between what the analysts/media say and the health of the actual business. It also illustrates how price movement can be wildly irrational and the suddenly it is as if everyone all at once becomes rational and realizes it is wildly undervalued. Wen you compare a business/sector like Apple with some of the hot high flying stocks, you scratch your head. Seems like a lot of people are all in a hurry to scratch their heads now. Next 12 months should be a fun time to be an Apple shareholder. A little humble apple pie anyone?

  • Facebook Is A Buy, $85 Price Target Is Possible For 2014 [View article]
There are a number of tech stock high fliers that are trading at crazy multiples. We are in the midst of a bull market. Facebook is a great product and an exciting stock. I wouldn't call it a great stock....not at 57. It is a very competitive business with fickle users accustomed to change, and they can only buy competitors for so long. The big IF for me is how many stupid ads will people tolerate, and how far will they allow their personal data to be used and sold. The internet was really cool because you could avoid commercials, but internet companies are finding they need to make money, and ads are the only way. With the next company waiting in the wings willing to offer free and adfree just to get established, it is a fine line to balance for the big dogs. Ads versus user experience.

  • Could Guru Fund Managers Be Right On Apple Again? [View article]
700 will be in the rear view within 18 months. 800 plus is my guess. It is too great of a company with too great of an ethos in a great market to be in. People wring their hands over the size of the pie slices in the short term and they miss the fact that Aaple has an important place at the table where the pie is growing in size.

  • Apple: Yes To iPad Pro [View article]
Apple needs a music streaming service. Spotify is a big thing. I love iTunes and will always buy music now and then, but most people will consume most of their music via streaming in short order.

  • Nikkei: iPhone 6 component output ramping; two models likely [View news story]
Went from Samsung S3 to iPhone 5s (first iphone). Glitchy, app crashing, slow as all get out S3 replaced by the Porsche of phones. Now I get it.

  • Apple's iPhone 6 Will Be A Monster [View article]
My wife and I just got the 5s and the speed and fluidity is awesome. I for one really love IOS7. The "smaller" screen" doesn't bother me ( coming from a galaxy S3). The screen picture quality destroys the S3. The text is the same size....just less of it on a smaller screen. The camera is top notch. The 5s has the best design of a phone ever in my opinion. I refuse to put a case on it! I shudder to imagine the A8 processor if they make material improvements in performance!

  • Apple: Steve Jobs Was Right [View article]
I agree 100%. I think Tim Cook has been somewhat unfairly judged because he has a different style than Steve Jobs possessed. This has obscured some of the more less visible yet valuable qualities he does possess. I think that over the next 1-2 years those qualities will become more visible and accepted by the market.

  • A Clue That Apple Is 'Cooking' Something Up [View article]
The entire personal gadget industy is in its' infancy in the broad scope of things. Apple is the gold standard right now in terms of the marriage of ecosystem, software, and hardware. No one cares as much about the experience people have with their products and the relationship users develop with them. Don't get too caught up in this short term nonsense. This is the ground floor baby. 20 years from now Apple's reach and influence will be much more than it is today. That is what I am wagering anyhow.

  • 10 Reasons To Avoid Apple's Shares [View article]
The valuation of many big name tech companies is a joke right now....a speculative bubble fueled by Money printing and Interest rates of zero. I wonder who will be left holding the bag when the market sobers up and the institutions and computers decide Netflix at 500 might be stretching reality a wee bit. Aapl is exactly the kind of company you should be investing in at a time like now. Westport innovations is also ripe for the picking. When a good stock is hated and beaten down...that is where the payoff is.

  • Apple Continues To Present Tremendous Upside [View article]
The unfettered demise of Aapl is just around the corner. This is the sentiment now. It is all on Aapl to overcome the doubts. For other companies the analysts overcome any doubts for them. This sentiment is what it is all about now. Cook is still on trial.

  • Apple: A Value Stock With Numerous Growth Kickers [View article]
It is laughable the valuation spread between Aapl and other tech stocks. Google is on the way to 1500 this year while Aapl is at 500. I cannot wait for reality to set in. It is amazing how folks think a stock is Better as the price goes up, and think a stock must be bad if the price is down. Aapl is on sale right now. Possible the sale of the next decade.

  • Apple repurchases $14B of stock in two weeks [View news story]
The huge negative bent on Aapl only means that when the elephants decide it is time to blast off the sentiment will turn HARD. I find it hilarious to hear how the media rings their hands over the inevitable demise of a company like Aapl. Unlikely Aapl will innovate ever again because they did not jam out a huge Phone. Ha....Ha....Ha.
