  • BlackBerry Likely To Post Loss In Third Quarter But Focuses On Long Term Turnaround [View article]
All I know is I am tired of it being a $9-10 stock. A dip back below 10 bucks and I'll fold the tent on BBRY and let you long term bulls make your fortunes next year.

  • BlackBerry +2.5% on pre-earnings upgrade [View news story]
Got burnt on a FedEx purchase ahead of the earnings. How could FDX go wrong with oil prices plummeting. Lesson to be learned, never buy/sell ahead of an earnings report.

  • J.C. Penney drops after Goldman Sachs issues gloomy prognosis [View news story]
How many of you have shopped or even visited the JC Penney website. I know I haven't so maybe GS has a point. There's no disputing B&M businesses esp. stores with huge footprints like Penney are in decline so there's a reason to be gloomy about Penney's business model.

  • Did Seadrill Just Become A Gold Mine To New Investors? [View article]
And if you asked him if could he see oil at $68 two months ago. He would have laughed and said no way, yet here we are.

  • Did Seadrill Just Become A Gold Mine To New Investors? [View article]
It's down again today. I said a month ago when it broke $25 you would see low 20s or high teens but if the oil price slide was protracted, all bets were off.

Doesn't take a genius to predict new 52 week lows when the stock is down 3.5% while the Dow is up 100 points. I would continue to avoid this stock.

  • Seadrill's Dividend Cut; The Analysts Weigh In [View article]
Wall Street analysts not worth the paper their opinions are printed on? Look at the SA authors opinions on SDRL during the last 6 months, the preponderance of them being bullish and one author telling you to buy the stock all the way down from $40 including his most recent call to increase your position at $17. The stock price today $13.

  • Stay Away From Seadrill [View article]
Staying away is the only thing that makes sense. The stock doesn't have a dividend, it's broken major chart support, it's down over 50% in a general bull market and oil prices are plummeting.

You can also forget the the 5x forward earnings as a reason to buy because with oil at these levels E&P companies have only begun to slash their capex budgets. The next shoe to fall is the Rosneft deal.

  • Seadrill's Earnings Announcement And Conference Call On November 26 Is 'Can't Miss' For Investors [View article]
This is only the beginning of oil companies slashing their capex budgets. Don't expect any V-shape bottom in the price of SDRL stock.

SDRL is a commodity story and I remember when Brent was over $110 for over 2 years and thinking what was keeping the price of Brent so high for so long. I think we have the flip side of the coin ow with oil less than $80 for an extended period.

So now you're saying your crystal ball is better than this sell side analyst. How quickly we forget to be humble after your predictions on SDRL.

  • Update: BlackBerry's Dip Creates Buying Opportunity [View article]
That and there has been an endless succession of frustrated BBRY bulls. Most bulls I imagine expected the BBRY share price to be a lot higher than it is today. The ironic thing is with Chen at the helm, he hasn't gotten the stock price as high as Heins got it yet Chen is a god according to the bulls.

  • Update: BlackBerry's Dip Creates Buying Opportunity [View article]
Come on, the iPhone 6 has been hitting the ball out of the park. I was looking for comments on Passport sales since so many were hyping how hot this phone was selling because it was sold out on Amazon initially.

  • Update: BlackBerry's Dip Creates Buying Opportunity [View article]
I was on Amazon and I see the Passport is currently in stock but only has 267 reviews. Add that to the fact that BBRY and Chen have been quiet about the sales figures, my conclusion is sales are tapering off after the first blush of sales for a new phone and it's not going to be the smash hit the bulls expect it to be.

  • Vietnam Is A Great Market For The BlackBerry Passport [View article]
I'd rather see articles on the Passport making inroads as business phones Chen's target market. I still see this phone as a niche oriented phone for consumers, seems to only appeal to BBRY fans.

  • Why Seadrill Is Not A Falling Knife [View article]
I just read his article of 9/16 and his "strong buy" at $30. Hate authors that won't acknowledge their mistakes.

SDRL seems to be headed lower as well, it hasn't been able to mount an oversold rally despite some very strong up days in the market. I see this headed to the low 20s or teens now that it has taken out $25.
