  • How the World Almost Came to an End on September 18, 2008 [View article]
Paul Kanjorski allowed his family to rip off the taxpayers to the tune of over $10,000,000. Go look it up. The guy is a creep.

What a waste of digital space. Can you put on the "don't worry, be happy" blinders on a little more tightly? Because there is now a cease-fire in Gaza? PUH-LEEZE. As if SnObama can waive his anointed hand and make the world a better place.

Take your good news and happy oratory and shove it. I'm going to BlanchardOnline.com and putting my money where my mouth is.

  • Don't Be Scammed by Madoff Investor Sob Stories [View article]
Where the hell will the "bailouts" end??? How about every one of us who took a bath on a financial stock going into the toilet in 2008??? Should we get a check now???

I lost money, but hey, I was an idiot and didn't pay attention. But I was diversified so the net result wasn't *that* bad and since I live below my means I am doing OK.

I only have one thing to say to Madoff's victims: JOIN THE CLUB. If you had all your eggs in one basket then you've learned a harsh lesson.

  • A Few Guiding Principles for President-Elect Obama [View article]
He's going to be a one-termer. Biden had it right: some creep in the Middle East is going to test this guy and he's going to fail miserably. Maybe W screwed up a lot of things, but at least he realized that it's impossible to negotiate with nutjobs who believe it is their historical imperative to put the world under the banner of radical islam.

Everything in Obama's past indicates that he is going to govern as a hard-core leftist. He was one of the most partisan members of the Senate. He was an amorphous blob whose positions changed by the hour and most of the stuff out of his mouth was so vague and meaningless that anybody could read anything into what he said.

Mr. Ehrenberg reminds me of those "thoughtful" members of the bourgeoisie in Russia, Iran or Cuba who thought that they could work with radicals and ended up losing everything.

  • The Shallowest Generation [View article]
This was GREAT! Thanks a lot, Boomers, and BTW stop bitching about "universal health care" when you think that ED medicine is where we should be ploughing (pun intended) our pharma research dollars. If I see one more "Viva Viagra" or "don't trust anyone over 90" ad then I'm going to publicly burn a bunch of Beatles and Rolling Stones vinyl albums.

Get over yourselves. Your generation SUCKED. The only lot of you worth anything were the poor guys who were drafted into Vietnam and then had to hear "baby killer" from the spoiled sh*ts whose parents got them deferments.

  • China's Shrewd Long-Term Oil Plan: What America Can Learn [View article]
Well I hope all of the Americans screaming that we went to war in Iraq for their oil are happy now that Red China (the beacon of human rights) is going to get it all.

  • Who We Should Blame for This Crisis [View article]
Good article, and I'm going to elaborate on #2. If I had to pick one villain, it's Andrew Cuomo, the former HUD Secretary under President Clinton. He only got to that position because his old man was bag-eyed Mario Cuomo. Baby Andy was behind the push to get Fannie & Freddie to guarantee crap mortgages and now he's the AG of New York and has the gall to go after short sellers.

  • The Biden-Palin Panderfest [View article]
I guess the deficit will be $200b worse when Biden gets to send the $200b "let's be friends, mmm-Kay?" package to the psychopaths in Iran which he proposed as a good-faith gesture after 9/11.

I'm stocking up on gold this fall. It's going to drop near-term but look out when Jo-Jo and SnObama get in.

  • The Secret Villain Behind Our Economic Collapse [View article]
GREAT ARTICLE! As PJ O'Rourke put it, "every government is a parliament of whores, and the trouble is, in a democracy, the whores are us."

Nobody saves anymore. It's all MINE MINE MINE! NOW NOW NOW! GIMME GIMME GIMME! Nobody wanted to hear "save 10% of the home's down payment" or "flipping condos is no different than flipping POS.com on its IPO day" or "the balloon payment can't hurt me!" Our country sold its soul to an easy fast buck in this real estate bubble and now nobody wants to take any blame or responsibility.

May Providence protect drunkards, fools and the United States of America.

  • Bush's Speech: Surprisingly Coherent [View article]
Lilguy, you really have a serious problem. "FEAR" of al Qaeda? Did you not notice two big holes in the ground in NYC? And do you even know that Shafiq Rasul, the poor widdle guy from the "Road to Gitmo," was proven to be a complete liar who trained at a terror camp in Afghanistan despite what those useful idiots claimed in that BS "documentary" from the UK.

And poor widdle Khalid Sheik Mohammed, he had some water put in his nose and he broke like a baby crying for his mama. Too bad - we should give him his rights and let him out so that he can go slaughter more infidels like the score of other ex-Gitmo detainees who returned to the jihad.

This website is for people to talk about making money, not for listening to your half-baked claptrap. Go put your tinfoil hat back on.

  • Welcome to Desolation Row [View article]
"All I know is that my 401K LOVES Bill Clinton."

Most of this mess is due to his appointment of Andrew Cuomo to run HUD. He put pressure on the banking industry to make bad mortgage loans to people who had absolutely no business accepting the money - all in the name of the "Community Reinvestment Act." Hey, the banks didn't care - they just passed the risk on to the bond market through collateralized debt.

The Soviet Union thought it could create a society where nobody could make a profit and it failed. Andrew Cuomo thought he could make a society where nobody had to take a loss, and now we're dealing with it. Perhaps the AG of NY should indict himself.
