Wow, I've discover a fine, and competent analyst. I wasn't aware that one existed. I thought all analysts were idiots and incompetent. Keep up the good work. In my portfolio. my stocks are China Mobile CHL and Bombardier. I f I had to put all my into one stock, it would be CHL for reasons. that you mentioned. As for Bombardier, it is a fine Canadian company with a strong balance sheet, they just reported a strong third quarter, they investing appropately into the future, and they pay a small dividend. They are best in class in rail transportation and second in aerospace sectors. and in rail they are the number one in the world. And yet, to this day they are invisible to the American investors. When they are discovered, i think their stock will rise ten fold in five to eight years. Oh, did I mention, you are hedging your invstment to the coming drop of the American dollar. Smart people, such as Jim Rogers, are saying that the Ameriican dollar will drop so far down it wil be worth half the value of the Canadian dollar. They are certain the dollar will be worth about 10 cents compared to its present value, maybe.
When Wall Steet goes up and down has nothing to do what we insignificant mortals do. It's already embeded into the imformation stored in the collective consiousness of the universe, which is never lost. Comprende? Of couse not.

With the solar industry looking so positive for the future, why then were the solar shares clobbered? I noticed The Street.com downgraded LDK on really lame reasons. Is there a conspiricy against Chinese solar companies?

How do shareholders oweing ADRs in CHL, stop this sort of highway robbery? We at least should receive shares in CHU equivalent to the money transferred from CHL to CHU. I think the SEC should look into this because when Chinese shares are listed on the NYSE, they are subject to NYSE rules and regulations. I believe only Cuomo can do something to protect American shareholders
Profiting from the $700 Billion Bailout [View article]
George Bush has fooled the Democrats once before and that got us into a needless war, which I call BLACK HOLE NO. !. Now he is at it again and the Democrats are caving in again. How stupid can they be? BLACK HOLE NO. 2 will be bigger and move the country into a depression. No matter what congress does the market is headed for a 40% dip, but not right away. However, the US dollar will weaken and gold will rise as they did when the bailout was announced.
Energy Storage Opportunities vs. Irrational Expectations [View article]
I think its time and everyone who agrees with you to read Tom Freedman's latest book: Hot, Flat and Crowded. You will learn how new technology comes down in price as production and demand increases. I was visiting England when cell phones came on the market. They were big, heavy and cost $1000 plus. Twenty years later cell phones are small and cheap. Lithium-ion batteries will be used in Hybrid and electric cars, thats for sure.

I think it is time you read the new book written by Tom Freedman: Hot, Flat and Crowded. From the book you will learn how costs of new technology come down as production and demand rises. Lithium-ion is the battery technoloyg of future. I think Valence (VLNC) has a very good Lithium-ion battery, but very incompetent top managers. As soon as they get rid of their incompetent managers the company will produce and ship a lot of batteries at a reasonable price and make big profits.
