    The only reason the markets didn't tank is because the TARP money was offered as a substitute. At 8 am the Dow was down 350 in pre-market. The white house ofered up the TARP money at 8:10 and the markets cut that loss in half in 20 minutes.

    Anyone who thinks that 15 billion dollars is going to solve the Big Three's problems is an idiot. They are postponing the inevitable. Paulson is just holding this house of cards together until 1/20/09 so he can cut and run.
