  • Trade This Market-Neutral Strategy In December [View article]
So earning 84% over 79 years is the new alpha? Bill Gross said that the cult of equity was dead, but damn, I didn't realize it was this bad.

  • A Legendary Hedge Fund Manager Owns 1.9 Million Shares Of This Gold Stock [View article]
Meh, I don't like gold miners. It forces an investor to rely on the price of gold to remain elevated and then he has to hope that the company's operations are lean, mean, and profitable. Just adds another element of risk. There are just so many better spaces to put money to work.

  • 4 Undervalued Stocks To Buy And Hold For 2013 [View article]
Add YHOO, GLW, and possibly BBY/JCP to that list (if you believe in the new CEOs). Big upside.

  • Intel's Latest Acquisition: Doubling Down On Its Mobile Bet [View article]
The market loves to overreact. I love it too, since it creates such great opportunities. Long INTC and looking to add.

  • 3D Systems Ready For The Rebound [View article]
I would be a buyer on any significant sell-off. The future is too promising for 3D printing.

Tell me, what other companies other than SSYS are a significant and real threat in the 3D printing space?

  • ARM (ARMH -3.4%) has opened lower after Raymond James downgrades shares to Outerperform from Strong Buy - ARM closed near its 52-week high yesterday. Meanwhile, Intel (INTC -2.7%) is lower not only due to H-P's bleak PC and server sales data, but also due to a downgrade to Neutral from UBS, which is worried about the near-term impact of Paul Otellini's May retirement. [View news story]
I understand that the growth prospects for INTC don't look amazing right *now*, but if they want to pay me a 4.6% dividend to wait for sentiment to turn around... I'm all ears. I bought some today, and will scale in over time. It's extremely oversold right now.

  • Microsoft: This Sell-Off Is Bogus [View article]
MSFT... dead money for 10 years. Nothing new here. I just find it funny how earlier this year, around March, the cable shows were talking about "this is the year for Microsoft where they finally break out above $40." This stock is like watching the worst soap opera ever produced. At least you can reliably buy dips and sell highs and always make money.

  • McDonald's Offers A 3.7% Yield And 10% Dividend Growth Rate [View article]
I would have an easier time investing if the stock if I believed in the product. Every time I eat at the damn place I get bubble guts, a stomach ache, and gas. Most people I speak to say the same, but not for other fast food chains. WTF are they putting in their food, and why are people eating it!

  • Basel III And Gold [View article]
You have to ask yourself, "Why was gold $200 over a year ago?", and you'll have your answer. But I suspect you already know the answer. Everyone thought that Europe was going to implode.

  • Basel III And Gold [View article]
This should theoretically be bullish for risk assets and for banks. If banks can now count their gold reserves as Tier 1 and account for 100% of their current value instead of 50%, then it frees up a large portion of capital to use towards other things.

  • The Stock Market Rebound Is Coming [View article]
When everyone and their mother thinks that a rebound is coming, does that mean it's a trap?

  • Approaching The Fiscal Cliff 'Thelma & Louise' Style [View article]
An investment's value going up vs. a living cost increasing (the gasoline example) doesn't make sense. But to put the federal budget into perspective, it would be the equivalent of someone making $50,000 a year, being $352,000 in debt, and going $32,500 further into debt each year. Makes absolutely no sense.

  • The Real Reason Groupon Plummeted After Earnings [View article]
I thought the reason the stock tanked was because the company is bleeding money, the company sucks, and the service is annoying...?

  • 3D Systems: Has The Printer Jammed? [View article]
Having a vigorous debate about a company is very healthy for the markets and it keeps companies honest. A crucial aspect of the market is for investors to be able to discuss which investments are good or bad. At the end of the day there are winners and there are losers. I just question the timing of this article and I don't believe that the author, or a friend/family member, had no position in this stock upon release of the article. I will be buying call options first thing Monday morning, because I think the conference call will clear up any misconceptions and I think there will be a pop. If I'm wrong, I'll take my beating like a man, suck it up, and move on.
