Just a note on ITW ... Since 1993 they have increased their dividend with their Aug declaration. But, this Aug they chose to keep their dividend steady.
Their long history of YOY increases is still intact and they have 4 more quarters in 2010 to increase it to maintain this history. Just something to keep on eye on.

You just said Coverage and ROE are both good to use because one uses cash and the other a GAAP look. Fair enough.
But, if it's important to have a cash and GAAP view, then how can Coverage be essentially the same as Payout Ratio? Isn't one GAAP oriented while the other cash?
