  • Ten Cars Detroit Should Copy [View article]
Sorry, guys [and gals..] But; MOST of You ....just don't "
get it".....Detroit IS DEAD! Our Gov. just has "IT" on Life Support. [for now...] and...the present Detroit Cannot be Live....not for ......years...maybe not ever.
Detroit COULD HAVE: Produced the Electric Car...[Killed IT!!]
INCREASED the Gas Milage... [preferred to sell guzzlers]
LISTENED to potential buyers [Not interested...]
I AM REALLY looking forward to TTM's NANO !!!!!!
My Wife's new 2008 Yaris....is "OK"; but, for just the driver, It is Still "Too Much".....in my opinion.

  • Auto Sales Declines Around the World [View article]
The "Thinking" MUST be updated; to fit the Present "Times"....and....because of That, I expect TATA Motors to become [probably] the Largest/Most successful Auto Manufacturer in the World. Even if the NANO is just equal to the Yugo. [Many Yugo's in Canada] and, I enjoyed mine [with some reservations] here in Georgia, USA.

  • 7 Signs of an Economic Bottom [View article]
Lin; I think that U "Hit" the nail on the Head!! Yes; I have talked to other people doing the same thing; because, there is no Certainty Anymore....I can't BELIEVE that our Gov. is So much like the American Medical Association=treating Symntoms instead of the Disease!! It is ALLmost as if there is a "Plan" to get rid of the Middle Class! "This" has been coming to a head for many years, now. I think that the way higher gas prices just "Set" it off.....

If= Our Gov. would just give All of that money to people that WOULD SPEND IT[starting at the bottom=Street People] Instead of At The Top [Multimillionaires, who might buy a new Lear Jet] The street people Would just Spent it---spend it 3 times=Gov. has it Back!! Yet, THAT Would create Many New Jobs......I'm really looking forward to "my" 65 dollar increase in pay....NOT Really. This Stimulus May help...in 2010-2012.....2020?

  • How Innovation Sustains Prosperity [View article]
Huh, He sees no innovation in the USA regarding Healthcare.....!? Simply because: The Doctors are taught by Colleges sponsored by the Drug Companies, and are well taught about Death/Disease and Drugs; but, Pratically Nothing about Health Care!
From what I read, many drug companies are just "sitting" on Cures...NO Money in a cure.....and, the American Medical Association Banned a "Machine" that Would [DID!] Cure Any Disease.....back...abo... 1941. The Government agrees with the AMA, better to just treat symntoms==creates Much More cash flow. Laws enforce That.

Medical Insurance? In my opinion=Not worth having, except in case of accident emergency; then, may have to wait until "next week" to have a broken bone set. Statistics= 40% of the time You Are Worse Off After treatment by a Doctor/Hospital, than You were before going to the Doctor in the first place!!!
Health is a Personal Obligation; if you have enough brains to Learn, and enough willpower to do as needs to be done. Innovation [Medical] Not Allowed, By Law!
Daughter has Lupus, and in China for treatment. Why? Because doctors here [America] are so ignorant of Health, that "they" may want to put a person with, say, Lupus, in a Hospital for "Observation" [and experimentation..] at astronomical fees. [for a "few" months]
So Many Areas are going Down, here in the USA....example: USA Discovered the Internet; now, down to ....maybe 12-15th. of developed World.......NOT # 1 [anymore, regretfully]

  • Why Ford Will Make It [View article]
After reading so many comments about the American Auto Manufacturers; by many people with opinions based Just on their impressions or facts....now read opinions from someone who has 40+ years Working experience on most autos/trucks, domestic and foreign.

MOST are what I call "Junk" . Including the Corvette. Quality is lacking in All Phases of design-to-selling-serv... WE [the Public] have had no choice of what to buy, other than what IS MANUFACTURED that comes CLOSEST to our needs/wants and money to spend.

By making vehicles that were, initially: Smaller/more fuel efficient/ect. those non-USA manufacturers made vehicles that were CLOSER to what many of us Really wanted. [now, they are getting bigger, and losing sales, too.]
Who makes the Best Autos? Probably South Korea...seems to have the best engineering. Buick=for GM... Magnum=for Chrysler.

Who makes the Worst Autos? Ha! BMW =#1!! Mercedes-Benz=#2! I have not seen anything made in Europe [recently=last 20 years] that I would consider "worth" the money.

    GM Had the "best" transmission--in the '50's..the 4 speed hydromatic;
then, changed to that idiot aluminum case 3 speed piece of junk!

The Last Ford that I had was a 1987 Bronco 2, full loaded for about 18K....had constant fuel injector problem, was having problems with transmission shifting at 50K.....front end shake/ect. Quality not Good Enough for me--last ford.

Wife insisted on "New Car"....Toyota or Honda [based on reputation] wanted Camry---I preferred Hyundai; but I comprimised, and bought an '08 Yari S Model, at 18K+! Seems "OK"...AT least, it looks better than the Honda "Fit"....

I DON'T think that the American Manufacturers CAN Change=to building what WE Want, rather than What "THEY" WANT TO SELL.

The "Free Market" IS Working, despite Gov. intervention/delaying the inevitable.
I will buy one of those 2500 dollar cars, + markup, whenever it gets here, Maybe Tata Motors can do better. At the present time; TTM appears to be doing what would be Litterly Impossible for an American Auto Manufacturer to even consider.......

GM "Killed" the Electric Car....let GM sink.....and ford and chrysler not far behind, without New/Different "Thinking."

  • The Differences Between Chinese and U.S. Economic Recoveries [View article]
Hmmmm; blog seems to have strayed, so: Global Warming is Easily Verified: ALL gas/oil/diesel/ethanol Burning Engines are Heat Engines, to the tune of appr. 78%....that leaves the rest to provide the power that is used.[ minus friction, too]

We need to go Back to "Square One"; again, and come up with an electric Motor that is designed as a motor, originally. No need for any "Better" batteries.

While our politicians have been very busy awarding/rewarding much money to many millionaires of "Porkchop City" [the very people that do Not need it] like putting a Solid Gold roof on this House [America] while it is the Foundation that has been eroding [outsourseing] and then, the higher gas prices got these dominos falling...."WE" would be better off; if, "They" had just given out ALL of that money.....Starting at the bottom. [The Foundation= the People that Would Spend It!

  • Why This Bailout Can't Work - And What Will  [View article]
TOO MUCH TALK; and, in the Wrong Direction!!! AMERICANS Need Paychecks, recieved from a tax paying employer; or, the US Government!! Bring Back the CCC Camps; anyone applying for Unemployment is given a "voucher" good for food and transportation to a Camp; that worker can recieve Only 50% of their pay [$10-15 per hour] getting all when returning to the private sector. Everytime a dollar changes hands 3 times, the Gov. has it back. Our Bridges/old sewage lines=Are Falling Apart! Soooooo, Repair/Replace them-----LACK OF MONEY[ for ALL of the "Bad" loans....] is the real reason for this "bad" Economy.

  • Steer Clear of Tata Motors  [View article]
Initially; buying Land Rover And Jaguar did not seem to be a good idea; but, by doing THAT, TTM has an "Open Door" and an established Sales and Service Dealer in the Countries wherever those more expensive vehicles are sold...Enter the NANA! Considering the Elevated "Costs" of Jaguar and Land Rover, Tata could afford to Give a Nana Away, with each Expensive Vehicle Purchase. I think that TATA is the "New" GM=Largest in the World.
I think that the "Air Car" is a mistake; except that; "Talk" about That is "Free Advertisment" for Tata.
