'global marketplace', 'compete on a global scale', bla bla bla.. the world isn't flat at all. its an attractive theory and one which appeals to executives, journalists, investment bankers, and other people who like using the world 'global' too much, but if you actually spend time in a lot of different countries, it should be obvious that the world is still a pretty big place.

Who Will Dow Jones Select to Replace AIG in DJIA Index?

Wouldn't it create a problem, since the Dow is calculated on stock prices and not market cap? Since BRK.A is a $100,000 stock, this would dwarf the others.
Still, a way should be found to get BRK.A in though, I agree..

If there is naked shorting, well.. people don't short the heck out of stocks for no reason, so maybe you should look at what they are saying. Ultimately if this company is good like you say, you should take advantage of the shorts, and buy more now at this low price.
Looks to me though like this stock went up too much, and now with the decline in oil prices, it just had to come back to earth. Briefly looking at the company's accounts, I don't see why it deserved to run up to 14 in the first place.
