  • Back To The Future: Apple In The Enterprise  [View article]
I can attest to that. I work at a BIG network company, probably 80K employed. Generally speaking the employees are allowed to choose what they want in terms of a computer. The choices are a Thinkpad (hardware is pretty decent) and a MacBook Pro.

About 1/2 choose the Mac and we know historically not half the people have ever use a Mac. The total cost of ownership is substantially less that that of a PC, mostly because in the case of Apple they control both hardware and software. The Wintel world isn't that lucky. Naturally the Wintel world requires more IT because it has many more issues associated with integration.

Na someone could say what about Linux/Ubuntu. They are not what they are hyped, I have both.

  • Foxconn chairman Terry Gou reportedly says his company is "making preparations" to manufacture Apple's (AAPL -0.7%) anticipated television set, adding that Foxconn's March purchase of a 10% share of Sharp for $808M was made in preparation for a new Apple TV.   [View news story]
Oh come on now! How stupid do you think we are. This is insulting. Yea, right Foxcon wants a major law suit for not abiding to an NDA.
    This really insults me.

  • How Low Will Apple Shares Go In A Major Market Correction?  [View article]
Here is how it works. Apple is a cash cow everyone knows it. Everyone makes their best efforts as hard as they can to manipulate the price to make money. That's what this blog is about people. Get a clue.

Why else would this person have a blog. Notice the logic in his narative, or seeming logic.

Yes it is volatile, wonder why that is?

  • Apple's (AAPL) much-rumored TV set will resemble a much larger Cinema Display, a "well-placed" source tells Cult of Mac. In-line with earlier rumors, the source also claims the product will feature Siri, and an iSight camera to enable FaceTime video calls.   [View news story]
No it is not a pocket PC, NO!

Way back, way back, way back Apple have the idea of a PDA, we're talking mid 80s when the IEEE adoped WiFi (801.11x).

This vision became Newton & Newton is a cross between the iPhone & iPad.

    These are facts.

  • Apple (AAPL) is planning to release a $799 MacBook Air in Q3, claim Digitimes' sometimes-reliable sources - the cheapest Air currently goes for $999. MacBook Air sales have been taking off, though overall Mac sales have been hurt by iPad cannibalization. Digitimes adds Intel (INTC) is trying to bring prices for its MacBook Air-like ultrabooks down to $699. Plunging flash memory prices could make cheaper Airs and ultrabooks possible. Doesn't make sense. Lower the iBook prices and iPad sales gow down buy your logic. Once again just a bunch of unsupported bull!!

  • CNNMoney's David Goldman talked with 10 Verizon (VZ, VOD) sales reps, and found all of them recommending he buy a 4G LTE Android model instead of an iPhone. Others report similar experiences. Verizon probably isn't motivated by hostility towards Apple (AAPL), but by an interest in offloading its surging mobile data traffic onto its high-capacity LTE network. It recently mentioned all of its future smartphone releases will support LTE.   [View news story]
Here's the deal some ass hole starts a story and you all go for it hook line & sinker. Anyone really believe this without checking the facts?

I like every thing you said except window 7 vs Mac. I have both ( only because my mother dropped me on my head when I was young), plus a brain. W7 is a radical improvement over XP, but what did that take 7 - 8 years. Essentially same two pieces of hardware, the Mac boots faster, runs faster ( say IE ) and it never gets that blue dreaded screen. Many comparisons have been done and objectively the Mac out does similar hardware running W7. MS had 7 - 8 years and still they lost the race, Go figure.

It's called manipulation. The stock in reality is only worh what someone is willing to pay. Plain and simple supply and demand.

Well I think the folks who got in late are the sellers principally especially if they see downside risk outweighing the upside, herd mentality.

Also you aren't seeing anything good come from anyone in the media, it's all bad even if they have to make it up. Bashing Apple is now fashionable! Now we know who and why this is going on. They missed the bus and they expect the bus to turn around and pick them up.

The significant aspect as I see it, there is nothing out of Cupertino, what happened, did everyone go on vacation or what?

So I'm not surprised I've seen this happen way back when it went over $300, just seem to go down for no reason, or it went up for no reason. Then it got out of its' funk.

  • The Kindle Fire (AMZN) accounted for just 4% of global tablet shipments in Q1, estimates IDC, down sharply from Q4's 16.8%. If there were any doubts TXN's wireless chip weakness had to do with Amazon as well as Nokia, that should put them to rest. Partly due to seasonality, IDC believes global tablet shipments fell 38% Q/Q, but still rose 120% Y/Y. The iPad (AAPL) is believed to have grown its share to 68% from 54.7% in spite of a 23% Q/Q drop. (previous)   [View news story]
