  • Apple's Institutional Slingshot: Rational Explanation Of Irrational Stock Action [View article]
It's called SPECULATION. It isn't investment, it' s called market MANIPULATION.

What part don't people get. This is gambling, may as well go to Vegas, or buy lotto tickets, because Apple is gamed by the big boys.

  • The Variance Between Apple's Intrinsic Value And Analyst Estimates [View article]
All of this does'm amount to a hill of beans, squat, jack s&!t. As long as the funds managers have the heard mentality and the stock is driven in most part by speculation, which actualy all stocks are speculation, gambling.

The problem with Apple is that it is too speculative driven. Like Amazon or Google. It's who's in favor this month, sort of musical chairs version for funds managers.

And hey, they are the ones driving the price & source of overwhelming amounts of speculation.

So unless you are lucky, or one of the insiders, you could get run over by the speculation locomotive.

  • Apple's Future Plans May Necessitate A Switch From Intel To ARM Chips [View article]
"The only caveat would be if AAPL decides to break away from MSFT The level of arrogance to even make such an attempt would be unprecedented. It would be a make or break proposition that Jobs would have likely shunned."

Some of your facts are wrong.$3/share was after the MS/APPL make up. In any event Apple is a completely different company now and does not depend on desktop. MS is not different, they still copy and rely on doing better at that. Games, browser, tablet, phone, MP3 players, you name it.

The computing world is changing case you haven't noticed, That's why all the PC guys are getting clobbered, which includes Intel. All of these guys are years behind and by the time they become relevant it will be 10 years.

MS or Intel will never be what they were 10 years ago, they rode their cash cow and are almost irrelevant if you consider the entire computing spectrum.

Linux & the UNIX derivatives have also failed to unite and take down MS. They had their opportunity, but now are relegated to embedded apps and specialization in servers.

  • Apple Is Misunderstood By Both Analysts And The Media [View article]
Scott is spitting in the wind. There are just too many idiots and by the way, some of these aren't mistakes. Mistakes can move stock prices. So if you could print a ,"Mistake," move a stock price, pocket the profit , what would you do.

Some of these, "Mistakes," could be considered criminal. I still am at a loss why the FCC grants CNBC a license??? How does that work? They are not serving the public in a positive and beneficial way, key requirements to have a license renewed.

  • Why The iPad Mini Will Benefit Apple's Gross Margins [View article]
Here is the part you are not getting your self. Why, and I can understand the thinking to some extent, why don't you believe that iPad mini won't take market share from the others in that space?

Or for that matter people want to buy an iPad but won't because it's too expensive and now with the smaller one they can afford one. In other words, the iPad mini is creating it's own space, not taking space. It's too easy to just say well it will take x amount from the larger iPad. Who on Earth has that kind of foresight and ability to see the market? No one, everyone is guessing, although they believe themselves to be genius.

I say, the iPad min will create it's own space or convince people to buy it vs the Samsung or other me-toos out there,. i.e., take market share. I can say it because yes I am guessing too.

It's like saying that a new Kia just got Bluetooth. So now it will take market share from Porsche. Any Harvard grads want to take that on?

  • Apple's Cash Position Is Overstated By $70 Billion [View article]
Os so let me guess Wim Lewl you are shorting Apple right now like every one on Planet Earth. It seems people are comming out of the woodwork like cock roaches shorting Apple or Apple bad, Apple bad, Apple bad.

I don't know why people can't just short Google or even still Amazon or Samsung. It;s like they have zero life or they are cloned Apple haters being mass produced in some dark Korean factory somewhere.

Like the workers in China being paid by Samsung to start riots and disrupt manufacturing.

Anone ever notice these disruptions are only Apple product? Isn't that odd, only Apple, Why never Samsung ( well could be Samsung has zero QC) but who knows.

The media hasn't reported this, but Samsung is paying Chinese workers to disrupt Apple manufacturing. Why, well it sure as heck makes shorting Apple a bit less risky doesn't it.

  • Will Apple Nibble Away At Your ETF Portfolio? [View article]
Here is the real deal, clearly Apple's stock is driven up and beyond it's value by speculation. The same speculation brings it down. This is called market manipulation pure and simple. Look at Google's recent run up for no real reason other that it's going up a few analysis (I use that term loosely) like the move and think it should move higher crazy idiots by a ticket to ride that train. You'll see the same thing shortly when a little bad news hits Google. It will do the same thing. It's called market manipulation.

  • iPad Mini Success Will Sink Apple Margins; Look For 30% Downside [View article]
Here is the flip, who said that the iPad min is competing with the iPad?
    Who said?

The iPad mini already has an established market, even before it is even announced. All of the customers who choose to buy the small, less expensive tablets, is the customer base. These folks have ALREADY DECIDED, made their decision, spent the money, to NOT buy the iPad.

This is the market so for every one they sell it takes away a sale from the competition not the iPad.

The pricing & features have to be right, but Apple can figure that out. It's like if GM introduces an economy car it will cannibalize their top of the line luxury cars (caddy) or sports cars (corvette).

Apple sells three different laptops so they have figured out who the customer is and market differentiation.

What the author is suggesting, is that Apple fell off the hay wagon this morning and has no clues about the market in tablets.Since all of these new copy cat tablets (Apple is actually one itself), Apple continues to sell more and more at an accelerating pace so clearly the low end tablets and high end are differnt markets. But the author can't see clearly or has blocked out reasoning and rationale for emotional reasons it would seem.

  • Trillion-Dollar Strategies For Apple: An Investor's Letter To Tim Cook [View article]
Apparently you don't read jack squat do you idiot!

It wasn't like Apple didn't know the map app was screwed up. For that matter how many times does google map give wrong directions and addresses, many times but that doesn't matter.

Apple wanted turn by turn spoken (Siri) directions fro google (here's the part you don't read do you). Google put conditions on it as in it had to have google logo and other unacceptable
google garbage. Apple declined to whore themselves. So at that point they new they had to release what they had and hope for the best.

They should have been straight up about the map from day one, but then they should have been straight up on day one a lot of times like the antenna issue.
Good for Apple drawing the line on not being a cheep google whore. Google will get what they deserve in due time, all pimps do.

  • Apple Falling On Missed iPhone 5 Sales Estimates: Opportunity To Buy At A Lower Price [View article]
This only counts the ones people took posetion of. It does not count the preorders or the backorders so the numbers indicating demand is very misleading. No one know exactly how many have been committed, except Apple. Although it won't help this quarters financials, Apple has already trimmed expectation very low in any event.

I agree it is a buying opportunity although I would wait a few weeks to see what macro economics do. Today's sell of had to do with some Fed's comments that QE3 would not do what it was touted to do. So people took profits, not so much on Apple's shipment numbers which is old news, OLD NEWS, not selling copy.

  • Without Steve Jobs, Apple Is Without A Map [View article]
I agree Jobs put out crap just like the rest of the team except he rarely got voted down inside. John & Jane Q. Public had/has to do that.

Like the Cube, like the iMac that was like 1/2 a basketball? On and on. What about all of the OS issues that never get fixed just upgraded to a newer hardware platform so you have to spend 2K for a solution. I am a Mac user for sure because MS is crap and why would they spend money o fix it when there is no new market to gain, no payoff? All the flavors of Linux are great but they are hacks in the sense they are fractioned and you need to spend $$$$ for expert consultants to get it to work, generally not practical or they would be the market leader and they aren't. Linux users hate the truth. I am also a UNIX derived alternative user as well for specific task.

So back to Jobs, he was human and he wasn't perfect, just a big ego right most of the time, proof is in the pudding as it exist, like it or hate it.

  • Are Apple Bulls Aware Of The Downside Risk To The iPhone? [View article]
You should be. For what ever reason, Apple falls out of favor which is a buying opportunity. Sure you know this. Likely Late October after earnings would be some pull back especially if there is more global downturn and they haven't signed China Telecom.

All those since 97 who betted against Apple, that is all, not 99.99%, but 100% have been WRONG and so they didn't ride the gravy train did they. Well who cares, not me, I made lots-o-money off that gravy train.
