  • MetLife flies as judge shoots down SIFI label  [View news story]
I'm all for clamping down on financials that can crush us w/ "heads I win, tails the taxpayers lose" business models.

But it was hard for me to see how Met was a SIFI

BlueOkie -- please show me where I have advocated for either Hillary or Bernie. Here's a hint -- you can't, because I haven't, and I don't support either of them.

I'm merely calling BS on Trump's BS. And the fools who can't see thru it.

Yah. But wait until the media starts digging into Trump's alleged mob ties.

What a choice for Americans. Sigh.

Straight talk would be great. But that's not what Trump does. He's just a monkey slinging feces and gullible fools are lapping it up. He NEVER answers a direct question, just abuses the person who asks the question.

"I think if he killed a baby on camera, that could hurt him."

Given what I've seen of Trump supporters, they would claim the baby had it coming and MSM set it all up.

The problem with software is that it does exactly what you tell it to do ;-)

Some of those public sector pensions are actually guaranteed in their states' constitutions

txwoodworker -- as you made a serious comment, I will return the favor. My issue with Bernie is that, while we can all aspire to a utopian view of social justice, I have not seen any serious or workable proposals for how this would be funded. He is certainly not the only candidate guilty of lacking details for how their visions would be implemented/funded. But I see him as the leftish side of the coin where Trump's racist/fascist vision resides on the other side.

@blueline -- the Onion once ran a story about the US converting the US Capitol dome into a retractable roof, which the Chinese media duly copied as fact. Punked! hahaha

Helps explain the support for Trump. Like the frat boys hooting louder as the biggest boor gets drunker and more bellicose.

@blueline -- you like this? I find it embarrassing and cringeworthy.

But then again, I'm not one of those people who likes "reality TV" where people work to one-up each other in how "outrageous" they can be. I also don't like "debates" where two people just shout at each other for as long as the segment endures.

I find it the lowest-brow form of entertainment. And definitely no way to elect a POTUS.

Indeed, what a crazy 3 days in politics.

Bernie stomps Hillary, proving that Dem primary voters loves them some yummy yummy free stuff.

While the GOP clown show gets clownier. Other than insulting each others' wives (really guys? When do we get to attacking the kids?) we had this bizarro moment from Cruz (and I quote)...

"Donald Trump may be a rat but I have no desire to copulate with him"

While I'm glad to see him blaze new trails in proactive transparency, the wording of this statement does beg the question of what might happen with a rat that is not Donald Trump.

This stopped being funny several months ago.

Mr Carlini's version of Rockefeller is the more correct. I would just modify it to say that he was a ruthless robber baron who decided, late in life, that he would try to buy his way into a more pleasant afterlife
