Market Memory: Where I’m Invested Long-Term (Part Two) [View article]
The market really scares me after everything they put regular investors through. I agree with the author that safer dividend stocks make sense and you can only invest in stocks you aren't afraid to own even if the price says it's worth a lot less than you may have paid! Good stock selection. I don't see anything that seems too speculative. But as the author can explain, many of these stocks are not cheap anymore and seem expensive if you are chasing the market now.
Market Memory: An Abbreviated Tale Of Two Bottoms (Part 1) [View article]
Market is making real traders look foolish betting against it I'm scared because I can't trust it. Every instinct is telling people to back out before they run it down.
Three Card Monte and the Feigned Outrage Against AIG [View article]
I think this author spelled it out months ago in a previous article on "the 60 trillion dollar nightmare of CDS".
I agree that this is just about finding the scapegoat and not to dissimilar to what the author surmised the outrage is just as misplaced as a con-game. We the public are and should be screaming mad about bonuses but its a sideshow and distraction when the truth is where all the money went and who benefitted.
I think the 100 billion paid out hte back door is scandalous.
I wonder who got bonuses at the firms collectin AIG'S insurance money paid by taxpayer? Is there outrage there?
CRAMER has been wrong more than he's been right. Bear Stearns! He lied about not telling people to invest. I saw him tell people it was a buyout candidate and he repeated the same with LEHMAN BRO..
Let's name some other winners
rememeber he wrote GOOG on his forehead when it was 600-700! How many investors have been crushed by that call
What If Warren Buffett Is Wrong About the Markets? [View article]
"Think of yesteryear when you believed in the Tooth Fairy. This was one of the very first introductions to basic economics. Each dollar placed under your pillow at night was exchanged for the asset valuation or current market value of each tooth. Or at least that’s how it seemed, but the real system of exchange depended exclusively on your belief in the Tooth Fairy and the guarantee of your parents to back stop the fabrication. Hence, if you no longer believe in the myth of our financial system or the obscure ability for Uncle Ben and Big Daddy Hank to reinflate us out of this crisis, there is no buyer for assets even if you were willing to sell all your teeth and wear dentures."
This is the reason there are so many toothless hookers wandering the streets.
Yes, Mr. Jefferson! I bet you are so right that we are being scammed! If this market runs up tomorrow or next week people will be outraged. Nice article
