  • Why I Do Not Trust Bitcoin [View article]
    Not everything that has value is physical. "Intrinsic value" of Bitcoin comes from its usefulness as payment system and from it as a store of value.
    And one more thing: transaction malleability is not a security issue any more. Proper techniques are implemented now, case is closed.

    @jezz
    Yep. Why is it so difficult to see that iliquidity was, and is, main cause of volatility? Once valuation gets to higher levels volatility will subside. Market will be more inert. Can he get that?
    Yes, and another thing: growth in value, being consequence of adoption growth, is not volatility. It is growth.

  • Breaking Down Bitcoin's Price [View article]

    Ripple is centralized with founders holding for themselves half of all coins. In contrast, bitcoin, litecoin and other ones are decentralized with mining process determining who gets coins. Ripple is not fair in the best case, and outright scan in the worst.

  • Bitcoin Going Off The Rails On A Crazy Train [View article]
    1. Bitcoin chart resembles a line if looked in log scale.

    2. Bitcoin volatility is result of its iliquidity. As its market cap rises volatility vanes away. Spikes and pops are milder now then they were a year or two ago. Once market cap gets to couple of $T it will be smoother than DOW.
