Will Traffic Acquisition Costs Bite Google Back? (GOOG)

I have "googled upon" this post while looking for ways to acquire traffic to one of our online service based "digital media" ventures; www.PhotoHand.com - even though this post is dated '06, it remains to cover the battle field correctly... Channels are still the same - search engines/pipelines/brow... + as marketplace is becoming more competitive the cost of traffic becomes more and more expensive. Of course there are new ways to find "relevant traffic"; catch thaaat client in need of "photo retouching"..etc., from back links to ppc's all effects the bottom line / the profits. Is Organic SEO the answer to cut the ad costs? it still costs upfront, similarly as google paying firefox.... many new strategies.... photoHand.com being digital media company - we use our own skill set and attract surfers with "Creative Banners" , social / dating web services love our "Don't PhotoShop it - PhotoHand it !" . Unfortunately now days we can no longer say "Build and they will come,,,,," need to come out there and bring them in...... I'll catch up a year from now with this post and overview the new ways/ developments in traffic acquisitions techniques. good luck to all.... ^DA
