Curiously, it was a similar bill to this that UCLA economists said caused the Great Depression in USA to be lengthened during FDR's tenure. It was a bill that artificially raised prices and wages and in the process created structural unemployment. Europe has been plagued by that as well.

It's odd that Labor wants bills that create unemployment!

I conclude from this, without knowing anything else, that you must have a labor (ie left/liberal/socialist... Govt. It's quite obvious that if a conservative were running the Govt, the media elites would, like in USA, have declared it the greatest depression since the dawn of man already and said it started a year ago or sooner.
