  • Dollar Strength: An Illusion [View article]
One of the reasons the US dollar is weak--trade deficit, especially with China. What do you think would happen to China's economy if the US stopped importing their junk?

  • Profiting from the $700 Billion Bailout [View article]
If the credit crisis is real why not get $700b by cutting 5% waste in each government department and slashing some of the lifetime benefits and goodies our inept leaders have awarded themselves? Most Americans have seen salaries and benefits cut, why not these clowns that allowed this mess to happen?

  • An Absence of Leadership [View article]
Mason putting all the blame on the current president is pure partisan bull. This credit/mortgage mess has been brewing for years. During the Clinton years and during the era of a Dem-controlled Congress, Fannie and Freddy were mandated to offer home loans to low income minorities who they knew were incapable of making payments on these loans. The Clinton Federal Reserve threatened banks with lawsuits if they did not treat welfare payments and unemployment benefits as valid income sources to qualify for loans. The "lack of leadership" he whines about infests a DO NOTHING Congress that we are stuck with. The grandstanding by Dodd, Frank, and others in Congress is to cover their asses because they know it is their fault we as taxpayers will pay for their LACK OF LEADERSHIP. Both parties share the blame in this mess.

  • Natural Gas Bargain Justifies Obama's Stance  [View article]
Obama's stance? Obama's plan? Has he actually offered any concrete ideas besides his hollow message for "change"?

  • Curing the Credit Crisis: A Better Alternative Plan [View article]
To blame the mortgage and credit mess only on the Bush Administration is ridiculous. It was the Democrats who pushed for Fannie and Freddie to make loans so that everyone could own a home even if they did not have the income or desire to pay for the loan. Where was Dodd-D, Chairman of the Banking Committee, where was Frank-D, Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, and where was Pelosi, leader of the so-called" new transparent Dem-controlled Congress"? Leaders of both parties knew this was happening and they should be held accountable for thinking about themselves instead of doing what was right for the country.
