So I am tipping them to trade? Remember when it cost a few hundred to trade one stock?
Maybe they are providing a service of liquidity
by taking advantage of our stupidity.

  • Credit Default Swaps: Financial Weapons of Mass Destruction [View article]
I cannot understand how options are called "derivatives" and "insurance" is called a swap.
Call them anything you like but we have rules for options and insurance.
I think that I will rename my income tax liability and call it "transferrable debt" and ignore it.

  • Bank Bailout Comedy: Four Clips from Colbert [View article]
Very funny. Say goodbye to liberty, we are forced to pay for contracts created by fraud. We are forced to pay for bad bets made by their counterparties. The creators of these contracts get new jobs, and bonuses and we get the bill.

  • Exchanges Propose Weakened Uptick Rule [View article]
The short sellers have taken over the markets. It is a very big business, the largest hedge firms do this routinely to make money.
The naked short selling, the manipulation will not stop as long as it is profitable.

  • Financials Watch: AIG Brouhaha Distracts from Other Improprieties [View article]
Of course they have to bail out the hedge funds. Where do you think these guys have their own money invested? Trust me when the general public finds out about these sweetheart deals, and they will,
the AIG bonus outcry will look like the joke that it is.

  • Recent Policy Decisions and a Greater Depression [View article]
Your article is well written but you forget how quickly markets anticipate and react. The greater tax theory is coming NOW by the states, and the rest fiasco to come will be written on the Dow in the next few days/weeks.
If it is true that the Swiss may collapse then next decade will be one of cleaning house. And maybe senate too...

  • Geithner's Superfund Is the Real Deal [View article]
The reason the market tanked in the first place was over his ideas. Or was it the heathcare disaster buried in the stimulus bill that was being voted on that day?
Wasnt after Geither said that the Fed would mop up the bonds that they themselves will issue when noone shows up at the auctions, effectively printing money? Gee, I cannot get all the bad ideas to add up to a new bull market, looks like everyone is voting with their feet.

  • A Restoration of Confidence in the Markets Means Everything [View article]
When the Community reinvestment Act which destroyed our housing market and the Commodities Modernization Act which legalizes insurance and securities fraud then we will restore confidence. Why is no one politician talking about these WMD Acts enabled by BOTH parties?
