  • Healthcare 'Debate' Dominated by Shouting and Lobbies [View article]
The problem with healthcare is cost, It is too expensive.

There are too many sharks in the water.

People are pissed off because the biggest great white shark called "government" smells blood and is coming hither.

As if the lawyer and corporate sharks weren't bad enough.

The focal issues at the town halls is healthcare, but the anger and frustration and disgust is with the cost of everything.

  • Why Health Reform Won't Distort the Insurance Business Model [View article]
    INSURANCE IS THE PROBLEM.

    Very scary story for you:

Giant pool of money from good citizens paying insurance premiums out of their paycheck. Insurance companies have little or no competition.

Lawyers go after big pool of money.

Pharmaceutical and medical supply companies go after money.

Doctors perform tests or surgeries to cover their posteriors or to crank out lots of income quickly.

    Pool of money shrinks.

Insurance companies raise premiums and deductibles.

Average consumer pays more for less.

Illegal aliens and the poor get care they can't or won't pay for.

Cost passed on to responsible average citizen via higher health insurance premiums, deductibles, and every cost on down the chain.

    Pool of money gets smaller.

Insurance companies raise premiums and deductibles, deny coverage for more things.

Then...Big Government says it will come in and make it better...just like Amtrak, Fannie/Freddie, FHA, Social Security, and the Congress.

    Aaaaah!

  • Cramer's Stop Trading! The Next Big Super Regional Bank (7/28/09) [View article]
    Good gravy.

Come this Fall and Winter housing will be back in the toilet.

It's Summer, $8,000 credit kicked in, artificially low rates, banks flush with taxpayer cash at 0% to lend out at 5%-29%, Obama hope and change mist ebbing but still intoxicating the societal mindset...

Eye of the hurricane, this is.

As things turn worse again this Fall, national healthcare, stimulus II (porkulus II), and more taxes will be pushed through Congress because the "have to do something". It's like hitting the hornets nest with a stick after it's already fallen out of the tree and everyone has been stung.

Caution is warranted. Speculate some if you will but have a majority of your investments in the castle vaults, not sallying forth over the alligator filled moat and into the barbarian laden forests.

  • Wall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [View article]
Exactly - like the Chinese are going to protect the environment when they wipe out entire villages to build a factory to make plastic Happy Meal toys for our latest cultural escapade. Look for plastic gerbils with guns and dead gerbils this winter from all the hype.

Can you imagine what an enslaved Chinese farmer thinks as they mold a plastic Homer Simpson?

"Rotsa Ruck" is right; these clowns in the Whitehouse are going to be played like a violin by the Asians.

Global warming...please...you may as well join the Flat Earth Society.
